Good stuff
Really liked his answers. My favorite one was:
In the series against Miami, there were a couple of times at the end of games when LeBron James guarded you. You had at least one potential game winner that you didn’t hit.
Rose: I had two opportunities to shoot the same shot, and I missed them both.
You just know that he’s had nightmares of those two shots and thinks about them when he’s training. 5 years from now he’ll still remember those shots even if he’s won a title since then.

Rose preseason interviews act like Zoloft to counter all the talk about roster problems.

Yeah, I was watching some commentary
where they were talking about how “brave” it was that D-Rose claimed full responsibility for losses.
What the hell is so brave about that? If he didn’t do so, he would be universally reviled! The really brave thing to do would be to say that the team lost because his teammates can’t shoot straight or dribble. It would be a hell of a lot closer to the truth too!

I haven’t been called an idiot or retard yet, so I wouldn’t say I’m quite back in form

Living in China
so I get American news at odd times. Life is very different. Glad Bulls basketball is coming back though!

This wasn't the best part of the interview for me
To be honest, I would expect him to react that way for two reasons. First, he puts so much pressure on himself that I’d expect that reaction. Second, he was one of the main reasons the Bulls lost that series (I would not put the entire series on him by any stretch of the imagination, but a good chunk was his decision making).
The best part of the interview was when he was talking about what he needs to improve on. He had a poor series. So what? Look at what Kobe did in the playoffs in ’98. In the regular season, 15ppg, 18.5PER, 54.8 TS%. In the playoffs, 8.7ppg, 12.5PER, 50.8 TS%. Granted, that was Kobe’s second year in the league and that was Shaq’s team. However, look at the great player he turned out to be.
Continuing, Rose speaks about improving post game, decision making, and knowing how to get fouled. These are two big things that could make Roise/the Bulls a ton better. I am glad Rose recognizes what needs to be fixed and seems ready to plan to fix those issues. The series with Miami is over. All he/the Bulls can do is look to improve and move forward.
