Tmac used to be one of my favorite players

And even I almost want to say I might prefer bogans and his d more

Should've traded for Melo.

True

what changed between this/next year and the last time the Bulls rejected him?

by runningman on Nov 17, 2011 7:51 PM CST up reply actions

42 games

I dont care what the D.N.A. Says, the Guy wearing number 12 Cannot be Kirk Hinrich, he is definetly Kurt. Kirk can actually play basketball!

TMac did not have a bad season last year

I wouldn’t mind him coming off the bench and running the second unit in a point forward role.

Pat Riley is the devil.

3.5 assists in 23 minutes a game.

pretty good for a guy who spent most of his entire career as a first option

by darksmokepuncher on Nov 18, 2011 9:20 AM CST up reply actions   1 recs

that's surprising.

i’m just thinking of the bulls game where he played most of the 4th, and pretty much jacked it up the whole time.

Tmac played well

and if he was just a bench player i wouldnt mind. Honestly if he was replacing bogans, it would be fine, though i would suggest bogans is more important to this team (…okay gotta take a deep breath after that line…) due to his team first attitude and relentless defense. My only fear is somehow getting the much cheaper tmac might deter the bulls from going after an Afflalo or Mayo. That would suck.

However if its just a shortened season, i wouldnt mind having a tmac for a year. Stephen A Smith sort of makes it seem like Tmac just wants to come to chicago, probably to expand his brand more than anything, but what the hell…let him

Bogans' good defense > T-Mac's bad offense. Bogans' bad offense > McGrady's bad defense

T-Mac is impact in name alone. He is not Lebron/Kobe/Wade level. He’ll, he’s not even Paul Pierce or good-McGrady level, and that’s what we need to have a chance against the Heat/Refs.

Rose-Watson
McGrady-Brewer-Bogans
Deng-Korver-Butler
Boozer-Gibson
Noah-Asik-Thomas

Sorry, not gonna cut it. And if they plan on still signing another SG to be the starter and putting McGrady on the bench…then still no. Brewer is far better at defense than McGrady, and i’d argue that Brewer is better at offense at this point too.

by kpd on Nov 18, 2011 1:24 PM CST reply actions

also...

Remember when he wanted to come here last year, he was trying to sell himself as a Summer of 2010 star? Saying stuff like “adding myself and Boozer, along with everybody else they brought in…” and stuff like that…sorry, his ego needs to be nowhere near the court when Derrick is taking over in the 4th.

by kpd on Nov 18, 2011 1:26 PM CST up reply actions

and i dont think we should be considering tmac as a gamechanger either

Tmac on the bulls roster, sure….tmac as the bulls 6th man….ehhh….maybe….tmac as the bulls starter….GOOD GOD NO….

I want a tmac that is being paid no more than 1.5 mil and expects himself to play no more than 16 minutes a game. I want a ring chasing Tmac, not just a brand building “i can still dominate” tmac….

He can be some nice added depth, but it should be on the bulls terms

I dont care what the D.N.A. Says, the Guy wearing number 12 Cannot be Kirk Hinrich, he is definetly Kurt. Kirk can actually play basketball!

by piccolomair on Nov 18, 2011 3:12 PM CST up reply actions

he obviously can’t dominate anymore.

by C Smoove on Nov 19, 2011 1:14 PM CST up reply actions

well he wasnt healthy last year

if hes 100% healthy and rehabbed and in a more positive lockerroom environment its not beyond the realm of possibility that we can see a vintage tmac performance once in a while to help derrick shoulder the load.

if tmac is really healthy as stephen a. claims then id say tmac would be the best option for us. having a guy other than rose who CAN dominate but doesnt need to would be ideal.

Should've traded for Melo.

Is he ever healthy anymore?

you never know

different training staffs can work different kinds of magic.
look at those old guys the suns keep alive.

and tmac isnt really that old even

Should've traded for Melo.

by sin on Nov 20, 2011 2:12 PM CST up reply actions

McGrady can’t dominate anymore. Even if he was healthier than last year, I’m sorry that ship has sailed. Just because a player was great for a long time doesn’t mean it lasts forever.

im not talking about on a nightly basis

im just talking about the ability to heat up and knock down a couple of shots in a row.

youre telling me if someone like say… cj watson can light it up for 40 on a random night once or twice a season, that you cant picture tmac lighting it up for 20-30 here and there?

Should've traded for Melo.

At this point Watson is a better player than T Mac

Look at it this way

He put up a 15 PER on a horrible, disfunctional team

How will he perform on a great team? Better or worse?

He also is only 32, with 33 mpg in his career

I get clients down to 5% body fat with ease you fucking idiot. - dakoose
