There’s something special about having a player who can cause so much commotion at the end of a game. I am not particularly entertained by a blowout however I do get enjoyment of watching Scalabrine get cleanup time at the end of such contests (last night’s Raptors game). As the fat lady once put it, “It’s not over unless you hear Scalabrine chants”.
I see hope when I look at Scalabrine. There are a lot of things working against him, but he still finds a way to hang around in the league. The man was cut twice from his High School team, and he played JUCO ball for two years before making it to USC. That’s straight love of the game that has kept him in there so long. Brian Scalabrine, myself and a bunch of other fans will be cheering for you at the end of ball games, regardless of any amount of absurd fouls you commit.
