Love told SI.com that during last summer's World Championship in Turkey he had conversations with USA Basketball teammates Russell Westbrook (who played with Love at UCLA) and Derrick Rose about the possibility of someday teaming up in the NBA. Oklahoma City's Westbrook and Chicago's Rose are also permitted to sign extensions this summer.

From Chris Mannix's article on Kevin Love.

Rose/Westbrook/Deng/Love/Noah? That'd be decent I guess...

But yeah, there's no real chance of this ever happening. Fun to think about though.

love noah would be a terrible offensive front court

unless you managed to get a 2 guard or a wing player who could work out of the post

Derrick Rose is a motherfucking ninja.

uhh, Love and Noah are both good on offense

Love especially. No post game though, so I think you would need to get a 2 who could create for them.

Love and Noah would be awesome with Rose and Iggy and Deng.

You don’t have a post game, but you certainly have an “at-rim” game.

In the past 10 years, just four team owners have not paid a luxury tax and are not on pace to pay one this year: Donald Sterling, Jerry Reinsdorf, Chris Cohen (Golden State), Bob Johnson (Charlotte).

Two owners’ teams averaged an operating income of over +$10 million per year while their teams have lost over 60% of their games: Donald Sterling and Jerry Reinsdorf.

Why do we need Love?

Boozer > Love.

I know Love gets a lot of boards and is good on the stats, but if you think Boozer has an ole defense, Love is far behind in that category.

I’d be totally down for it if we didn’t already have Carlos Boozer for the next 5 years, but Boozer’s been solid and working remarkably well with Rose and is well more big game polished and here for the haul. We don’t need Kevin Love…..

Now Westbrook and Rose, that could be sweet…..the dual PG (Westbrook off guard) thing….

On Love

Love is shooting 43% from downtown. He’s shot the 3 since UCLA, but he’s only started practicing it this past Summer.

You really don’t see much of a post game from him yet. He gets too many shots blocked when his defender is set. He can score pretty easily in the scrum.

I can predict the future using Norm Van Lier's crystal balls.

the three point shot is an overrated asset among big men

…since it’s usually paid for in other areas of the big man game. lewis, blatche, frye are the names that come to mind. Love is a rebounding machine but as a person who actually watches basketball games, instead of one of the mad statheads that lives in a TV-less environment surrounded by printouts and graphs, i want to watch a fucking 4 (or 5) guy put it down instead of float around and take long jumpers. so yeah, i’m vetoing a good player based on aesthetics. what can i say.

Weren't those early 2000

Sacramento teams fun to watch? they had a lot of big men who didn’t know how to put it down… The year amare was out in phoenix, I still thought they were one of the most entertaining teams to watch… those teams also had a lot of excitement coming from different areas, which is true, but it adds an element to a team that can be entertaining..

Where's the upgrade

Boozer’s better around the rim, has an array of post moves, works well with Rose, is tough, is here on contract locked in.

PF is about the farthest thing from a need, and I don’t think Love is better than Boozer….

That’s the thing.

Upgrade at 2 or possibly 3 spot (Even if Luol’s good, he’s no Boozer)….we don’t need a 4 upgrade.

Man I hope they pay near-max for Green.

Deng’s contract will finally be something to brag about.

if they came here, that would be pretty sick.

not sure how boozer noah love would all fit in, but it doesnt matter since it wont happen. but pretty cool to dream about…

Kevin Love would be nice.

Interesting how it was just these three talking. They had to be talking about Chicago, because they aren’t going to Minnesota, and they probably would have included Durant in the talks if it was OKC. Bulls should have some cap space towards the end of Boozer’s contract, so if Love/Westbrook make their extensions, so their contracts end when we get cap space, it could definitely happen here.

Although I’d be more interested in somehow tricking Blake Griffin to play out the qualifying offer, or somehow getting the Clippers to sign and trade him here. Rose/Griffin would be athleticism overload.

Rose + Westbrook

in the backcourt would be incredible.

Exactly.

That would make a lot more sense.

NBA – Where Collusion Happens.

If I got Derrick Rose in a room alone what I would do is not acceptable by law. But it would result in our kids.

Fuck the UC crowd for driving Rose away!

Lulz. No, really though…

And for what it’s worth: screw age. Boozer >>>>>>>>> Love
