Best Defender: Omer Asik, Bulls

Part of the reason why Asik gets the nod is the lack of good defense being played overall by this class. But he's deserving as well, thanks to his attentiveness to scouting reports and his willingness to move his feet and contest every shot.

He does jump a bit too much for the shot block, costing him valuable rebounding position, but for the most part he's an excellent pick-and-roll defender and a tough guy to score on inside.

Nice

If only he got some more playing time.

Strange, that was some quality analysis.

Pretty much sums up Omer’s defensive game perfectly, I think. He covers a fantastic amount of ground. Some more NBA seasoning and he can become a defensive force.

If only he could find ways to stay on the court

and avoid foul trouble.

Just about all rookies deal with foul trouble.

And just about all players take a significant dip in their foul rate after either their first or second year.

In the past 10 years, just four team owners have not paid a luxury tax and are not on pace to pay one this year: Donald Sterling, Jerry Reinsdorf, Chris Cohen (Golden State), Bob Johnson (Charlotte).

Two owners’ teams averaged an operating income of over +$10 million per year while their teams have lost over 60% of their games: Donald Sterling and Jerry Reinsdorf.

All rookie second team?

I think he deserves that at the least

I'm cuckoo for Kukoc!!!

He's the future

I see him being a key back up for us when we making championship runs in 3 years. But as for now Boozer, Noah , Taj , Kurt and Asik gives us depth down low. We can hang with the Celts and Orlando once we get healthy.

LOL

Until Keith Bogans is taken out of the starting lineup, it's: Tommy Del Thibo

LMAO, that made my day.

Super-effective against dinosaur-types, for sure.

Bosh seriously needs to get a backbone though.

And mostly because you said “brotha.”

Told ya so!

Or.... that there were better options.

In the past 10 years, just four team owners have not paid a luxury tax and are not on pace to pay one this year: Donald Sterling, Jerry Reinsdorf, Chris Cohen (Golden State), Bob Johnson (Charlotte).
