Around SBN: Trent Richardson Interviews Fellow Brown Brandon Weeden

Of course, he can't leave the crochitiness out as he bitches about recognizing 41 games as halfway point because of statistical movement instead of All Star game.

his new love:
Although his name doesn’t come up much, one interesting shooting guard possibility is Phoenix’ Mickael Pietrus, who is out of the rotation as coach Alvin Gentry said he can no longer go with 10 players and is cutting the rotation for the rest of the season. Pietrus is just a 36 percent three point shooter and just 66 percent on free throws, though an athletic guard. The Suns might be one of those teams needing to start stocking picks as Steve Nash and Grant Hill close in on the end of their careers.

I’d love Grant Hill. He’s one of my fav players.

If I got Derrick Rose in a room alone what I would do is not acceptable by law. But it would result in our kids.

Not new love

Sam has been talking of Pietrus to the Bulls since the draft when Pax almost selected him ahead of Hinrich.

Personally I think Pietrus might be a better fit over Mayo, not because he’s better, but because with Mayo we’re going to have to both give up a ton to get and likely risk financial burden given that he’ll want an extension and we have to focus on Rose.

Pietrus though would be nice to have for our team. He’s a good defender, and typically a good 3 pt shooter (he’s not in rhythm in Phx)…..I think he’d fit our team.

I just don’t think we have anything to give to get him until perhaps after this year, and I don’t think he’s worth waiting after this year (as I’d hope we can snag someone a bit better—say Kirilenko for close to that kind of money……. I know Andrei’s a 3/4, but I say find a taker for Deng, sign Kirilenko and use Deng to net us a SG.

It's almost 2011 Bulls. Let's Get Grimy!!!

hehe
You know that Dwyane Wade commercial with him locked in a closet and screaming to "Get me out of here!" Yes, Kirk Hinrich should get that commercial.

Why won't people like it?

He’s humble, works hard, and is well liked by his peers and those who write about basketball.

This is the line of the article...

Since LeBron’s James’ "Karma" tweet rubbing in the Cavs’ 55-point loss, the Heat haven’t won, losing three straight with both James and Chris Bosh suffering ankle injuries.

Paul Pierce considered for MVp?

But Rhonda is the best PG EVAR!!!

this has always been Rose's best chance at MVP

the voters vote stories, and not just who’s the best player.

And a bit weird that Dwight Howard isn’t mentioned amongst Sam’s 12 names.

I like how Sam feels

that your team has to be competitive for you to win any award including “most improved” which is why he doesn’t consider Kevin Love. Apparently you can’t be most improved unless you lead your team to the playoffs, so the obvious candidate is …… Wesley Matthews.

by runningman on Jan 17, 2011 8:41 PM CST reply actions

Wesley Matthews is a real solid player,

but he doesn’t seem to be that much better than he was last year, he’s just getting more minutes. Love is definitely more deserving.

That said, has anybody in the league improved more since last year than Derrick? Better defense, better rebounder, better passer, better scorer, better shooter, etc. The only guy I could think of is Eric Gordon, who’s scoring numbers have skyrocketed this season.
