Fuck Boston!!!

(Sing song)...Everybody Hates Rondo...

Oh and

unsurprisingly, Yao has nearly one million votes.
Are you fucking kidding me, China?

"Did Michael Jordan join the Pistons when he couldn't beat them? No. He dug down deep and went out and kicked their fucking ass."

Yeah! There's no rule that Yao can't play in a wheelchair!

Or that a dog can’t play basketball!

I'm leaning Derkim Nose at the moment.

P.S. It's phonetic

I have two things to say about this.

One is that Yao Ming is fine.
The other is that I heard Kentucky violated some sanctions on that dog, but I’m sure he’ll grow past it in the pros: the dog-signing would greatly improve our SG position.

The Miami Heat: Like ants and a magnifying glass. ... OH NO! CHRIS BOSH’S BEAUTIFUL FACE!!!!!!!!

I feel (though I'm sure I'm not the first to) that this exposes the flaws of the ASG in general.

I can’t believe a player who has not played a full season for the last few years and has certainly not shown his best (and thus has been undeniably outperformed by others) manages to make the All-Star game…all because of a large number of zealous Chinese voters (and whoever else) who clearly don’t follow basketball and don’t understand what an All-Star position should ideally reward.

by Saracenn on Jan 13, 2011 1:14 PM CST up reply actions

it's not even just chinese voters

vince carter got voted in once after not playing the entire season.

that being said, i wish yi had managed to beat out KG when he was a rookie. that would have forced them to change it lol.

Penny in 97-98.

I’ll never forget him being injured all year, then coming back right before all-star break just so he could play.

How far is he behind Wade now?

Insurmountably far, I presume?

really?

I feel so bad for him. His goal has been the ASG and the last two years injuries have fkd up his dream worse than Freddy Kruger

The east starting 5...

Rose, Wade, James, Amare, Howard – wow. DWill getting hosed – at risk of being stoned to death here, I think he’s still a little better than DRose because of how well he handles the Offense and gets to the line. Rose only trails Wade, Howard, James, Kobe, and Durant in votes, and he might catch KD. I’m so glad we got Boozer in stead of Bosh… at least he looks like he has a good excuse when he loafs.

Deron Williams is in the West.

Unless you were just staying that for comparison’s sake.

Sadly, I think as long as Shaq the egomaniacal immovable and near-stationary boulder

remains in the NBA, Joakim won’t have a sure spot in the ASG. I’m pretty sure Dwight will be tops for the next 5 years at least, hopefully Joakim will be right behind him all the time.

by Saracenn on Jan 13, 2011 1:52 PM CST up reply actions

only one C gets voted in, though

if noah is able to keep up the pace of what he was doing before he got hurt, i don’t really see shaq as too much of a threat.

Uh buh buh buh buhhhhhhhhh. Yes please.

YEA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So me voting 50+ times per day has not been in vain.

I’ve been voting for Amar’e too, so glad he overtook KG’s punk ass.

This is awesome,

but I hope that Rose actually carries himself like an all-star during the game and doesn’t try to appease ‘Bron and Wade. I don’t wanna hear any of this “I’m just happy to be here.”

Wow, what great new

Now let’s keep it going!

Until Keith Bogans is taken out of the starting lineup, it's: Tommy Del Thibo

by Juiceboxjerry on Jan 13, 2011 6:26 PM CST reply actions

Which unfortunately also means that there are only 6 guys in front of Rondo

How the hell is that even possible. I’m mystified by this. There needs to be a study or something

The Rondo hate is strongest in Chicago.

I don’t think it’s bad anywhere else.

yeah i don't think it's that bad

on the other hand, i’ve had some celtics fans tell me they think rose is better, anyway, interestingly enough.

by Jaina on Jan 13, 2011 10:18 PM CST up reply actions

You're right.

Not only that, but because of Boston’s success, a whole lot of people believe he’s the better player, too. I heard a lot of that when I was in NY last week. Real NBA guys know that Rose is unreal, but casual fans make up most of the NBA fan-base and they get most of their NBA viewing done in the playoffs.

Something of note:

Derrick Rose (Chi) 1,225,575
Kevin Durant (OKC) 1,270,729
