No, there's something else-

he looks slower, and he isn’t getting up as high. It may be just that he’s worn down – FIBA, crazy minutes, etc – but compare the speed of his moves now to the quickness and explosiveness he was showing against LA with today.

I’m not saying it’s permanent, that we should gnash our teeth or whatever, but the kid looks sluggish.

Yeah, 2 for 5 with 2 turnovers is what this team needs for Rose.

He’s been great overall, but he needs to pick up his game.

by dakoose on Jan 1, 2011 6:24 PM CST up reply actions

Shit like this kills my super high buzz about this team.

This Cleveland lineup would set the record for least wins in league history, yet they’re lighting the Bulls up. And I’m saying this knowing that we’re gonna win by 15.

by dakoose on Jan 1, 2011 6:23 PM CST reply actions

It wasn't that different with the championship Bulls teams.

We’d play a team close for 3 quarters out of boredom, then win by 12-20.

I don't really give a shit about those teams,

but that said I guarantee you they would slaughter this team. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a lineup this bad before. New Jersey would have gone 82-0 against these guys.

I love Rose,

but I don’t think I’m ever going to see the 40-50 point explosion I expect when teams like this show up on the schedule. If I were Rose, I’d go out and try to drop 2000 on CLE, NJ, MINN, instead of letting everybody else go to work and then wake up late in games. I’m dying to see him just go off, Wade style.

by dakoose on Jan 1, 2011 6:31 PM CST reply actions

Hey Rose. I don't see the appeal!

by Dils on Jan 1, 2011 6:32 PM CST up reply actions

no way those numbers stand when he gets back, they were already dropping as Boozer worked himself back.

by Khalid El-Amin on Jan 1, 2011 6:33 PM CST up reply actions

Huh?

He’s averaging that for the season. Put backs and hustle points matter too. Without a Sg, we miss whatever he gave us on the offensive end.

Hey Rose. I don't see the appeal!

by Dils on Jan 1, 2011 6:35 PM CST up reply actions

Yes...

He is averaging that on the season… While Boozer was out mostly.

by Khalid El-Amin on Jan 1, 2011 6:36 PM CST up reply actions

Whats your point?

What do you think he’ll average when both he and Booz are healthy? I bet it’s not that far off from where his average is now.

by dakoose on Jan 1, 2011 6:37 PM CST up reply actions

My point is I doubt it's his scoring we are missing...

His last five or so games with Boozer…

11, 12, 9, 9, 13, 6.

by Khalid El-Amin on Jan 1, 2011 6:39 PM CST up reply actions

I think they do...

I think they also have something to do with adding a far superior scoring big man too.

by Khalid El-Amin on Jan 1, 2011 6:41 PM CST up reply actions

i agree with khalid

its not noahs scoring thats seems like its missing in this game or the past couple games, its the cohesion he brings to the roster when hes on the floor. Rose hasnt seemed like the same rose since noahs been out there are layups rose has missed which noah wouldve anticipated, tipped in, and the world would be amazed at both roses ability to get into the rim, and noahs excellent tip in…now instead we get deflated every time rose does a brilliant move just to miss…

I dont care what the D.N.A. Says, the Guy wearing number 12 Cannot be Kirk Hinrich, he is definetly Kurt. Kirk can actually play basketball!

by piccolomair on Jan 1, 2011 6:43 PM CST up reply actions

nice summary

I am definitely missing tip ins

by JockstrapNoah on Jan 1, 2011 6:44 PM CST up reply actions

Our Starting SG is getting 3ppg

We don’t have the luxury to lose any points on the team. Noah should still get his points because they come at the line and on hustle. They aren’t running plays for him. Also his production may have went down because of his finger, not Boozer coming back.

Hey Rose. I don't see the appeal!

by Dils on Jan 1, 2011 6:41 PM CST up reply actions

I didn't say it has no effect

but they run plays for Boozer, not Rose so why is that an effect? Noah get’s his points off of put backs and hustle. I say wait the Noah gets back healthy and then see what he does. The guy was injured during the span of time Boozer has been back. And yes they miss his points.

Hey Rose. I don't see the appeal!

by Dils on Jan 1, 2011 6:49 PM CST up reply actions

*not Noah

Hey Rose. I don't see the appeal!

by Dils on Jan 1, 2011 6:49 PM CST up reply actions

Well the PNR plays they run for Boozer

Are the PNR plays they used to run for Noah, so I hope they aren’t missing the points too much.

He may not be a true pg, but he's a better player than a majority of backups in the league

I think he just isn’t aggressive enough at times. But if Derrick were to go down for an extended period, there aren’t many backups I’d want more. That’s what I meant by “luxury”

Doesn't really matter.

If you’ve been watching the game you realize he’s had a poor game overall. At least thats my opinion. Terrible defense and blown easy buckets have kept the Bulls from being up at the half.
