Ignoring the typo, I stumbled upon this article after trying to do some research on who wanted to draft Tyrus (Skiles VS Paxson) Its an interesting read.

Author loses a lot of credibility for being on the joe Johnson bandwagon.

Al Jefferson (who’s better than people believe even though he’s hurt and I think the Bulls’ should trade for him and go after Joe Johnson next month)

Pat Riley is the devil.

i thought it was an interesting read

but the author lost credibility right away when spelling Paxson wrong and had a picture of him with his name in the caption.

So he drastically regressed since May 5, after which he only played 3 games?

Well, isn't what LeBron did last night the living embodiment of The Secret, leaving millions on the table and turning himself into a hometown villain, all for the sake of winning?

i read that wrong, i thought he meant Joe during the Garnett trade in 07/08…Joe was decent then still. He only looked like ass this year in the playoffs

That article is very old.

Why post it now?

Tyrus sure is buried in Charlotte, seeing as they forked over a $40M deal to him this year. I think Charlotte was trying to do something we didn’t with our young wholly known project, bring him along slowly a bit.

They’ll use TT quite a bit more.

Also in that same vein, I’m sick of the Sheed and LMA argument. LMA plays as a young player in Portland, is tall and is a good mid range guy. There, that’s the similarity.

But Sheed was a monster defender, routinely amongst the best at his PF position in the game, and Sheed also could when he was younger take over a game.

LMA is a decent player on a somewhat bloated contract. I mean he’s probably worth just that contract…..

But LMA is also in a perfect situation, taking a back seat to the much better ROy, and having much of the pressure go to Oden, he’s left in the middle. He’s a good player, but never does he have “all league” talent like Sheed did. Heck if Sheed’s head was right he very well could and very well should be a lock hall of famer.

I’m sick of that comparison, especially when it’s out there essentially saying that LMA is like a Sheed without the head case moments….which is entirely false. LMA is a good to average starting PF, probably top 12-15 in the league, which is good, average starting PF is 15…..

And he really got the Tyrus thing wrong too...
Get an inside-out scorer in LaMarcus Aldridge who is more like Rasheed Wallace without the antics or go for the Amar’e Stoudemire-like explosive Tyrus Thomas who can leap 44 inches in the air and provide an offensive and defensive punch that the team was looking for since moving Tyson Chandler.

Um, Tyrus was drafted about two before Chandler was traded…

Thomas, Miller, Salmons, James, Pargo, Gray, MLE, and (there is no LLE thanks to the Pargo signing) will not be here with a Max Free Agent...don't get too attached.
