Another Reason why Rose is Getting National Notice

http://www.nba.com/2010/news/features/art_garcia/08/31/derrick-rose-feature/

I think the Bulls were aware of this before they whiffed on the big three, but knew that Boozer was a reliable fall-back. No doubt the league is paying attention and Rose has been more of a passer in these championships, without really seeing what he can do when he is asked to do more.  By the way, has anyone noticed how much better his defense is these days?

Yeah.....

i read alot of Basketball Forums like insidehoops and Realgm…..and its alot of Rose Threads.especially from Haters. They compare him alot to other PGs and call him over-rated alot towards the end of last season. But Rose is quickly growing into the Top 20 to 15 players in the league and his Defense really improve.Since FIBA Championships started, he always do what the Coach tells him to and People get mad when hes not Assertive.Hes got the Ability to take over games he just too passive and do relies on other players especially Durant. We all know hes the 2nd Best Player on the team and i hate when people judge him by FIBA play.Team USA has good Talent and people look at stats instead of TEAM Play. When NBA season started we know what to expect from him.

It's full of idiots

but it’ll teach you the difference between a faulty and a succinct argument.

In the FIBA tournament

Rose’s defense is not getting better. It’s gotten worse. It’s not something I worry about. Most of the lapse is due to scouting. These are point guards he unlikely to guard again for another 2 or 4 years. They are beating him off the dribble. He’s playing them like they want to shoot. Nearly every FIBA PG is a pure passer and ball handler and little else.

I can predict the future using Norm Van Lier's crystal balls.

Half of BaBers say it is better. Half say it is worse.

I think we should just all agree that none of us know how the hell to judge defense in basketball.
At least until someone comes along, posts some stats and declares himself the winner.

I just think PGs are going to get blown by most of the time in the first place. Plus everyones always analyzing Rose. I always put more stock into team defense and I trust Thibs will help him develop individually.

Interesting.

Wall and Griffin have yet to play a single minute in the NBA and you are putting them in the top 11 in the NBA?
