UPDATED!!!!! New Control trailer-Aug 27

Another 2k 11 Actual Gameplay vid

Yfbb-if you do want to delete this fanshot, is there a way you can bump up my original fanshot, so that i can just keep adding updates to it without fear of being buried?

You should just do a 2k11 fanpost

and include all of this stuff, and ask everyone to rec it. Then you (or other people) can update it when new info or videos come out.

Superteams suck.

or just go to a freaking video game site already

but yeah, if the people want it they can rec it themselves.

Dont you want blogabull to be a bulls fan one-stop site

Think of how many 2k playing bulls fans there are…some who like the games more than the bulls, now when they do a google for 2k information, they will get blogabull…they will come to the site, see the awesome community, decide to join…and whamo, tmobile rewards you with another all star game…..

im doing this for you yfbb

I dont care what the D.N.A. Says, the Guy wearing number 12 Cannot be Kirk Hinrich, he is definetly Kurt. Kirk can actually play basketball!

i disagree

you goto a videogame site you dont find basketball heads talking about 2k games, specifically Bulls fans

by regui8er on Aug 25, 2010 10:04 PM CDT up reply actions

specifically the 2k sports games.

Even when I read the preview of the Jordan legacy mode in 2k11 I found errors that would make a Bulls fan cry.

And being Bulls fans, we love seeing how they translate into games, and live our basketball dreams of being a player, MJ, GM, etc. vicariously through these games

by regui8er on Aug 25, 2010 10:06 PM CDT up reply actions

Does anyone else think that

the players jerseys jump off the body too much? Considering they stay tucked into shorts they shouldn’t move up as much. It looks like they’re always struggling.

Man I hope the developers dont fall in love with Carter, in the old 2k games he was absolutely ridiculous from 3 pt land. So damn annoying

by regui8er on Aug 25, 2010 10:25 PM CDT reply actions

Also, isn’t it annoying how all these games have in game sponsors on just about everything but it still costs 60 bucks?

by regui8er on Aug 25, 2010 10:30 PM CDT up reply actions

In 2k10

its granger…its pretty annoying…granger is good and all, but man he dominates in 2k10 when controlled by the ai, more than lebron wade or kobe….and in association mode, he constantly leads his team into the playoffs, like going toe to toe against the heat….its pretty annoying…

I dont care what the D.N.A. Says, the Guy wearing number 12 Cannot be Kirk Hinrich, he is definetly Kurt. Kirk can actually play basketball!

It is creepy how realistically they render all the players faces.

I wish they had kept making NBA Street.

I saw T2 at Walgreens in Deerfield he’s tall. if you’re wondering what his grocery list included: magnums, french vanilla ice cream and a 20 oz sprite

by Super-Structure on Aug 26, 2010 12:21 AM CDT reply actions

I don't get it.

In the past 10 years, just four team owners have not paid a luxury tax and are not on pace to pay one this year: Donald Sterling, Jerry Reinsdorf, Chris Cohen (Golden State), Bob Johnson (Charlotte).

Two owners’ teams averaged an operating income of over +$10 million per year while their teams have lost over 60% of their games: Donald Sterling and Jerry Reinsdorf.

i really hope they get rose's shot right in this game

In the past two they’ve made his form totally retarded

from now on instead of saying "go fuck yourself" im gunna just say "go join the heat"

by sin on Aug 26, 2010 9:42 AM CDT reply actions

hard to get his shot right

when every year he changes it biit by bit…

Don't they use motion capture? So, if his form is messed up, it's Rose's fault

Well, isn't what LeBron did last night the living embodiment of The Secret, leaving millions on the table and turning himself into a hometown villain, all for the sake of winning?

its not true motion capture

They rarely use the actual players when they do motion capture, and if they do use the actual players, they make bigger deals about it. They usually get some dleaguer (if event that) to come in and replicate some of the moves of the superstars, and usually that guy is attached to the motion caputure dots and suit. I think thats more for dunks however, for shots, they usually watch tape and try to tweak the animations to create a similar looking shot. There are already some youtube tapes of people comparing side by side shots (one of the 2k11 gameplay and another of the actual real life person shooting) and showing how theyve done a pretty good job. One of the guys working on 2k11 is mike wang, who is a hinrich and bulls fan….

Thanks for the info, for some reason thought that they actually tried to bring in as many players as possible

They have like 10 animations

and each player gets assigned one. They try to make sure the stars look right, but after that it’s just whatever animation is close enough.

by tuluse on Aug 28, 2010 12:11 AM CDT up reply actions

its a bit like that

they started it in 2k7 with just the stars, and in 2k8 expanded it to the entire nba, tweaking the animations just slightly (timing, or adding an extra hand motion or different stance) and then every year they would adjust certain players that they got feedback on…

This makes me wish they would just implement a create your own signature shot mode, sort of like how they let you create your own finishing moves in the those wwe games. Since most shots are broken down into 4 categories, Base stance, Release Animation, Finishing Animation, and effect timing…it doesnt seem too hard of a feature to implement into the game….

Why did they fuck up the controls…..

by Camry on Aug 27, 2010 8:03 PM CDT up reply actions

the controls are one of the things ign previewed already

http://ps3.ign.com/articles/110/1109517p1.html

Basically there was a lot of erroring with controls in the last version of nba 2k, people would try to perform a certain move and do something else entirely, plus the animations were too heavy, so once you started a dribble animation, you were screwed with it until the animation was done…so both for the simplifying the controls and to help aide their ability to cancel animations….

Ok good…I’m too lazy to watch these vids at the moment.
I use to do like 4-5 moves all the time pretty much in the last 2 games heh.

I'm glad it looks so fluid this year.

Hopefully it’s a lot less animation based.

lol, sorry,

didn’t realize this was the official 2k11 post

But you seem genuinely annoyed by NBA 2K11, is it solely cuz Jordan is on the cover?
