Around SBN: NFL Players Ready To Welcome Gay Teammate

Typical mild mannered and calm Derrick Rose. You have to appreciate his character, even though it may sound cliche with what he says. But we are still lucky to have this guy because of his mentality in trying to win a championship.

Should have dunked on Obama and pushed him over like Pippen did to the Knicks

in the playoffs.
Of course that would be the last trip to the White House he ever took. But it would be entertaining. :)

Everyone should listen to the actual interview on the ESPN 1000 site.

It was the best interview I’ve heard Rose do thus far, and he’s really come a long way in terms of speaking and humor. He was hilarious describing playing with Obama.

Deng/Boozer/Noah: All your rebound are belong to us.

“He hit a game-winning shot one time,” Rose said Friday on “The Waddle & Silvy Show” on ESPN 1000. “I could have blocked his shot one time, but I didn’t want to get kicked out of the White House, so I let him shoot.”

Ha, awesome

Some other cool quotes:
And Rose doesn’t apologize for not trying very hard to recruit LeBron James, Chris Bosh or Dwyane Wade.

“Really couldn’t get in contact with [James],” he said. “My thing is if he really wanted to come, he would have come, no matter what. He’s grown, he makes his own decisions, and to him, he made the right decision. So everybody has to live with it. He has to live with it.”
Rose has been working out in Los Angeles, but he hasn’t missed the Chicago Blackhawks’ summer-long celebration of their Stanley Cup title. In fact, Rose said they inspired him.

“That’s why I’m playing so hard,” he said. "Thank God the Blackhawks won, because they inspired me to go out and do even better. That’s where you want to be as a Bull. You want to be in their shoes right now. You want to play as hard as they did. You want to win a championship.

“There’s no point playing if you’re not trying to be the best. This year the organization put a team up that we think we can go out there and win every game, and that’s what we have to do.”
