Sources: McGrady joining Pistons
"Seven-time NBA All-Star Tracy McGrady(notes) has reached agreement on a one-year, $1.3 million contract with the Detroit Pistons, league sources told Yahoo! Sports.
After impressing Pistons president Joe Dumars, head coach John Kuester and the Detroit training staff in a workout late last week, the Pistons became more serious about signing the free-agent forward."

I just saw this pop up on yahoo and didn’t see anything else about it under fanshots so I went with it.
it was rumored to be done last week
but it wasn’t official. some people jumped the gun.

How is that roster possibly going to work?
Stuckey, Gordon, Rip, Prince, McGrady……too many guys who need too many shots to be effective.

I still think its really important to have someone off the bench capable of being an X factor. Like maybe close to a double digit quarter in a game…or just ignite the bench in 2-3 games in the playoffs.

I think it's still debatable as to whether or not McGrady could be that x factor
But none of us were present for any of his workouts. I guess we’ll see a game or two into the season if he has anything left.
