I liked the 2k10 tracks a lot

ratatatatatatat.
Anyways, Ron Artest is hilarious, I’ve heard good things about the alan parson project, and I’m going to buy it irregardless of the music tracks.

God, I love the word irregardless.

His song wasn’t bad surprising. Hes better than just about any other NBA player for what its worth.

Mainstream is the bulk of the bad rap.

I would tend to agree with you, but I guess it depends on what you consider mainstream

because Lupe Fiasco, Mos Def, The Roots and Big Boi have all released good albums in the last couple of years (off the top of my head, there’s probably more I’m forgetting).

But yeah, underground/indie rap is pretty much where it’s at these days.

All I want in life is for UC fans to chant: Deeeeeloooonte during Heat games

Yeah thats why I just say the majority. To me theres mainstream music and theres musicians in mainstream.
Mainstream music right now is pretty much uniformity…processed crap. Their motto is “if they won’t turn the station then its good enough”. Not a lot of versatility and definitively not a lot of substance.

These guys don’t get enough credit they really came into their own ladder half of the 90’s. They had some funk/soul elements to them that really won’t hear from other artists….probably could say they were part neo soul.

i knew a guy in high school

he was the lead bassist for like a couple of bands in the school, hated rap all around. In senior year we had to do this thankful project for an english class, and he had andre 3000’s picture, and he was like, im thankful for outcast because they showed me that rappers and rap music can actually be good….except i think outcast like you said covered a ton of bases….ms jackson is still one of the most clever songs ive ever heard…
