The post-camp announcement is great news.
As most have said, announcing it beforehand would hurt and distract all the kids there. Not to mention the media storm every day of that camp. This coupled with the fact that the Bulls team was the only one not give a post-meeting interview indicates that both parties are being tight lipped for a reason. That Chris Grant post-meeting interview felt like a consolation speech. Fingers crossed.
Where is everyone?
I’m cold, wet, and just plain scared.

This is the most ridiculously confusing thing ever
Is anyone else so tired of this that they don’t even care where everyone ends up? I really just want to see how this whole thing ends.

But if you wanna see how this whole thing ends...
You kinda have to care where people end up, cuz that’s kinda the whole point of this whole craze

I'm very interested, and I still check my computer every 5 minutes
but I’m no longer crazed, and freaking out about who the Bulls end up with. I’ve just kind of resigned myself to the fact that there’s too much bullshit floating around to get any kind of feel for what’s gonna happen. I’m just getting more and more confused as each day passes.

Well, Clippers and Heat are probably off the island
the three star lineup seems impossible and the Clippers were too ashamed to bring their team owner.

I'm sticking to my guns..
Why (other than guilt) would LeBron go back to Cleveland? If he signs for 3 years he’s doomed anyways. He will not have won a title and by year 3 who knows what will happen. For life of me I can’t see him staying in Cleveland just to wait to go to NJ.
They have won over 60 games the past two years
If he does go back, it’s not like they’re gonna be the Timberwolves. He’s gotta choose between a decent chance to win a ring in Cleveland (HOME) or a great chance to win several rings in Chicago.
At this moment my life is one continuous Twitter feed.

I don't think he has a decent chance to win in Cleveland
Shaq, Z, and Jamison are all old. No one else on their roster is any good. His decision is either money and being close to home or winning.
by Rose MVP on Jul 4, 2010 4:08 PM CDT via mobile up reply actions
3 more years with Cavs = 3 more years without rings
- Lakers are still loaded
- Orlando has everyone back (and may improve) from the team that beat down the Cavs two years ago
- Boston may have everyone back
- Miami may well land Wade, Bosh, and (say) Ray Allen
- OKC is getting better every year
- Bulls without LeBron will still have Rose, Noah, Deng, Boozer/Lee, [someone else], and Tom Thibodou who knows how to shut down LBJ
All these teams could very well beat a Cleveland team that will likely have LESS talent than this year. Shaq and Z are likely gone, Jamison is a year older, Delonte is likely gone (contract + LeBron mom rumor), they had no draft pick, no cap space.
Say LBJ decides to stay 3 more years in Cleveland and doesn’t win a ring (which is likely). Then:
LeBron can NEVER get those three years back. Even if he finally leaves at 28, how many titles will he win then? Say 1-3 (even that is not assured at that point). Then he will have 1-3 titles for his career instead of potentially 4-6 if he leaves now. That is a HUGE DIFFERENCE – the difference between a KG/Isiah and a Duncan/Kobe.
If LeBron wants to stay and feel “loyal” and “comfortable” that’s his choice. But if he cares about his achievements and legacy on the court, I GUARANTEE he will someday regret not leaving this summer.
I love the way people count these titles like they're guaranteed
He might never win a ring no matter where he goes. Even the Bulls.

something along the lines of he wished that he had been less loyal because he felt it cost him rings… Bron should go for the glory and not the sentiment of his hometown

Malone...stripped by Michael, to the floor, stolen by M.J.! Michael the steal! 16 seconds left, Bulls down 1. Michael against Russell, 12 seconds...11...10. Jordan, Jordan a drive, hangs...fires...SCORE! He scores! The Bulls lead 87-86 with five and two tenths left, and now they're one stop away...
heres what a weird story this is. its been anticipated for so long, we know all the possible outcomes; we even know the psychological
reasons behind the possible outcomes; we just need to see which one wins out. in this case, how it ends isnt even that exciting, since its basically already known; the only thing that matters is that it ends.

I’m banking on the fact that the Bulls are not the type of people to go through all this just because one guy like WWW tells them they have a shot. I know some people think they don’t care because they’ll just sell more tickets, but I’m not buying that. They know it’s time to finally take this team to the next level. Just wondering what everyone thinks...
Would you rather have a lineup of
Rose, Wade, Deng, Bosh, Noah (Toronto would likely take Taj in sign/trade)
OR
Rose, Lebron, Deng, Boozer, Noah
Honestly, Lebron is #1 free agent to get BUT i might take Wade/Bosh if they are willing to make a decision by monday/tuesday
Rose,Lebron, Deng, Boozer, Noah.

lineup 1 only works
if wade or bosh takes a sub-max contract.
We can’t sign 2 of Lebron, Wade and Bosh unless we move Deng. We can’t move Deng unless we get Lebron, which means a Bosh-Wade signing is unlikely. Even if we send Taj and JJ in the S/T, we would still be just short according to the ESPN cap guy.

Thoughts on DWade / LBJ / Bosh Dynamic? "It's Complicated"
For them I don’t think it’s a simple as “we’re buddies and we’re going to synchronize our plans”. They claim to be close friends above all, but their interests are not entirely aligned as they are also competing long-term for endorsements, championships, and legacy.
Bosh is an additional and awkward wild card factor; as a trio each is afraid that the other 2 team up without them. The Bulls have always been the most attractive of the musical chairs because any one of the big 3 can land with us and know that with Rose, Noah, etc they will be a good-to-great team for the next 5 years minimum. Unfortunately that doesn’t guarantee we don’t get shut out from “the trio”, but it makes us a useful negotiating partner, both as a realistic option and for leverage with other teams.
Finances, team, and interpersonal dynamics to me dictate that the big 3 do not land on the same team. According to the last ten minutes tweets, Wade (custody battle) and LBJ (delaying until after OH obligations) both lean to the Bulls. This situation is very fluid and I think even if they have made their decisions they probably will change their minds a few times between now and announcing, or could change plans based on conversations, negotiations, and rumors of other stars’ moves. The 8th has always been the key date, and now even more with LBJ delaying his “announcement” until after his camp.
I have faith in shrewd Uncle Jerry’s poker / negotiation abilities. It’s an exciting and scary America Day for Bulls fans.
First time poster long time lurker.
this may be a good thing though...
Maybe both wade and lebron will realize they both want to be a Bull so both will want to be the first to agree to join.
yeah, it's an optimistic view...
we’re in a good spot but it could still all go to hell….very unpredictable.
more guaranteed money to stay with current team is also hard to pass up. I don’t think LBJ cares as much about this, but Wade is older so the 6th year is worth more and he also just finalized his divorce and gave up 50% (or whatever) of his net worth to his ex-wife. No way Riley greases the wheels for DWade to the Bulls with a S&T.
I think Lebron and Wade are both scared...
of losing to the Bulls superteam every year in the playoffs. This could be a game of chicken right now. Though I personally think decisions have already been made.

I can see the logic.
It seems like at least two of these guys are going to team up, and I can see one not wanting to be left out in the cold.
Still, the money has to be a big factor. Has to be. So if they end up playing together, while taking pay cuts, it would likely be a situation where the roster is already strong and where the endorsements/brand recognition/revenue possibilities would be maximized. This would leave the Knicks and the Bulls, and since the Knicks are close to getting Stoudemire, I can’t see that happen. So that leaves the Bulls.
That’s a comforting though, but only if this guy’s feelings are correct. Then again, maybe he’s just “filling the air,” since “news” has slowed on this Fourth of July.

I'm still not worried about the Knicks
this is just them trying to get his attention again, and his agent doing his job as the agent and meeting with them. Cavs/Bulls still the main option for ’Bron.
If the Bulls could close the deal on Bosh, I think we’d be real hard to turn down.
Yeah, but never underestimate.
Still, I largely agree with you.
I think if Bosh were to agree to terms somewhere, particularly the Bulls, that would get things moving big time.

oh i hear ya
at this point NOTHING would surprise me, but I’m not freaking out over the latest Knicks news. Bosh does seem to be holding everything up. I wonder how Lebron/Wade would feel if the Bulls locked up Boozer instead. That’s not my preference, but how long will the Bulls wait?
I'm so confused
So, getting Stoudemire is supposed to be some kind of boon to get Lebron to come there? If that was the case, why didn’t we go hard after Stoudemire? This whole thing has my head spinning.

For what it's worth, Walsh did say they expected a second meeting.
This is probably due to their previous meeting being open-ended in the sense that the Knicks were looking at what they could add to their roster to try and lure him and the contract possibilities necessary to pull off a superstar pairing.
And, for what it’s worth, Isola’s article did cite a Knicks source that said they were “very doubtful” about getting LeBron.
Due diligence.

The Knicks are desperate.
They want to show LeBron that they got him an All Star to play with or something. I dunno. Lebron’s team just wants to make sure no stone goes unturned, IMO, they don’t want to miss an opportunity and that means making sure they have all the details.
Lebron's not playing for D'antoni. He's not a defensive-minded coach.

Mike brown was defensive-minded..
Look at him now …
One of the Knicks' weak points was their roster.
I guess they’re thinking, “Hey, look, we got this Amare. He’s an All-Star. Isn’t that better?”
Still, I can’t see how just Amare would improve their roster THAT much in LBJ’s eyes, particularly since there’s still the possibility of teaming up with a younger, less-injury-prone Chris Bosh. (Although, supposedly LeBron isn’t necessarily tied to Bosh.)
The Knicks are just putting all their eggs in one basket at this point, or so it seems. Joe Johnson is off the board, and it looks like Wade is legitimately torn between Chicago and Miami.

Here is how I think it will play out
the big decision is whether or not Lebron will stay in Cleveland or go to Chicago. I have no idea what he ultimately decides, I think he is really torn (sorry conspiracy theorists).
Meanwhile, Wade/Bosh are joined at the hip and will only part ways if Lebron joins the Bulls and the Bulls can work out a sign and trade with Toronto. All this stuff leaking to the press about Wade’s family situation has me believing he is softening the blow if he leaves Miami. Its like he is saying "I would love to stay on South Beach, but I have this family situation, plus the Bulls are not as bad as I thought and they got an okay team…" Bosh will follow Wade til the ends of the earth, like Sam Gangi and Frodo, so he will go to Chi-town as well.
So I’m working under three premises:
1. Lebron is choosing between Cleveland and Chicago
2. Wade is choosing between Chicago and Miami, but leaning towards Chicago.
3. Bosh wants to play with Wade or Lebron.
If Lebron stays in Cleveland:
Bosh and Wade become a tandem for either Chicago or Miami. I think this is the reason why the Bulls are so calm. They know they have Lebron or Wade/Bosh in the bag.
That leaves Boozer to go to Miami along with a bunch of lesser guys, and Eric Spolestra to keep his job. New Jersey takes a couple of the lesser wings of the market and they play up the young up and coming team aspect. NY, if it hasn’t pissed off Lee too much, resigns him along with A’mare. If they have pissed him off, he goes to New Jersey.
If Lebron goes to the Bulls:
than the Bulls sign one of the lesser power forwards or get Bosh in a sign an trade from Toronto. This scenario I think involves a little more player movement on the Bulls part. Wade stays in Miami and gets Boozer and some lesser wing player (Mike Miller) to team up with him.
So my final prediction -
Lebron and Wade are hanging out with Bosh, Kanye West, World Wide Wes, Jay-Z, Gar Foreman and Obama to hammer this shit out. They all are drinking Jay-Z personal Vodka and smoking blunts, except Barack of course. Wade leans over and says "What are you doing man, I can’t wait around forever? Pat Riley has me under 24 hour surveillance" Lebron takes a deep breath and says "I can’t leave Cleveland. I have unfinished business." Wade says cool, him and Bosh tell Gar to make it happen, and the Bulls end up with Wade/Bosh. Kanye West writes the theme song for their documentary, one of Taj/JJ/Deng won’t be hear next year to make way for Bosh/Wade (probably the guy who studies Kung Fu), and all the Bulls fans rejoice, forget all the nasty shit they said about Wade, and watch our homegrown backcourt become the best thing since Frazier/Monroe.
Lebron stays in Cleveland and they keep winning 58-62 games. Bulls, Cavs, Celtics, Magic best teams in the East next year. NY is better than people think. New Jersey and Miami are considered the losers in free agency. The Clippers remain the Clippers.

Anyone seen More than a Game? The movie about LeBron's high school team.
I watched it this afternoon while waiting for some brisket to slow cook on the grill. Good documentary. First off, it made me see how important Akron is to LeBron. I can see why this decision will be difficult for him. Second, there was an interesting part of the movie where him and three of his AAU buddies decide to attend a catholic high school in a different part of town instead of another high school many of the people in his community want them to attend. Long story short, although he disappointed people in his community in the short term, in the long run, he understands that he made the right decision as his high school squad wins 3/4 state titles and finishes his senior season ranked number 1 in the nation.
In this case, I really, really hope history repeats himself. Lord knows if he bolts for the Bulls, he won’t regret it.
Yeah, it's actually a really good story.
I appreciate how it stops once LBJ made it into the NBA. The story is about this group of high school boys that knew they could achieve their dream – and the documentary stays true to it.

He needed the threat of leaving, even if there was never truly the intent.
He’d be dumb and even more immature if he never weighed his options. I believe he’ll stay; I know full well, I couldn’t leave if I were in his shoes. The Cavs got three years to change his mind about winning in Cleveland.

The Cavs had 7 years to show him they could build a winner
They couldn’t. They drafted LUKE JACKSON in the lottery the year after LeBron (passing up about 6-7 future All-Stars), traded a lottery pick for JIRI WELCH, blew tons of money on guys like LARRY HUGHES and ANDERSON VAREJO.
If LeBron stays he doesn’t ultimately care about winning. Period. For all his physical talent (which greatly exceeds Kobe’s IMO), he will be mentally and emotionally “choking” by failing to have the courage to make the difficult but correct decision to go where he can best WIN.
I dunno. I think the Cavs really have no choice right now but to be as optimistic as possible.
It may be true that they have the upper hand…but I’m cautiously optimistic, if only because the Bulls seem to have been so damn quiet about everything. If things remain quiet on Monday and Tuesday…I think the Bulls have a great chance.
It may just be another three or four days of “this team is the favorite” all the way up until he actually makes the decision.

We’re getting either LeBron or Wade. I’m the most pessimistic person in the world and I’m sure we’re getting one of these two. Here’s why:
1) LeBron’s announcement is post-camp. I knew beforehand that meant he was leaving . And if he’s leaving, he’s coming here.
2) Even if we don’t get him, that means Wade’s not getting him either. And if Wade doesn’t get him, he’s coming here for sure.

dude, i was saying this is what the bulls should do. it’s a better fit for the team. this guy is right, james wade and rose have similar styles. but signing amare or bosh and carmelo. he’d look bad ass in a bulls jersey. i want the bulls to get back to contending for titles but not by virtue of james. i don’t think he even deserves to be a bull. dissing them by dancing on their floor. my biggest issue, is that by signing either wade or james, the bulls are sending the wrong message to rose. he needs the ball in his hands. the guy has all the makings of a great player. hec, he already is. and will only get better. a team featuring carmelo bosh and rose is a title contender in a hurry.
"the man who created a legend; the legend who resurrected a franchise."
Sorry man...
But Wade or Lebron > Rose…. now, 5 years from now, whenever. You don’t want to sign arguably the best player in the NBA because of “sending the wrong message” to Rose? That is a terrible argument. Rose is a complimentary player, albeit a great one, but he is not “the man”. He wasn’t at Memphis, and he’s not going to be one on the Bulls if they are a championship team.

i am not saying he needs to be. i am saying mainly his style doesn’t mesh with james or wade. i would sign bosh and if they add carmelo, he’d be the main guy not rose. but rose is a great player, i think your selling him short.
"the man who created a legend; the legend who resurrected a franchise."
sounds a lot like
the ESPN article today. This argument is a massive gamble, IMO. Especially since the Bulls can get over the hump with landing Bosh and Wade now.
i honestly don’t think they will have good chemistry. noah doesn’t like james. they will have a star studded team, but not necessarily a championship team. which one would u rather have?
"the man who created a legend; the legend who resurrected a franchise."
your argument is the exact same things
said in that one ESPN article today. This argument is a massive gamble, IMO. Especially since the Bulls can get over the hump with landing Bosh and Wade now.
Bulls need to add as much talent as they can NOW.
Let the coaches worry about making them mesh together. If they don’t, then they really wouldn’t have much trouble moving James, Wade, Bosh, or Rose for a different star player who might “fit” better.
You don’t refuse to sign Lebron or Wade for ANY reason PERIOD. It would be insane.
Dwayne Wade's not good enough for us
We totally needed Joe Johnson. :/
Go Rockets/Nets[CDR]/Bucks[Jennings]!
come on man
A second round exit in exchange for a maybe shot at a free agent next year who might not even be on the market and even if he is, you’re going to be competing with 4-5 other teams to get him? We have 3 great players in front of us right now and we’re in the best situation by far. You can’t pass that up.
Let's say we go that route.
What’s to say Mello even signs with the Bulls? If they have a really good chance to get Wade or LeBron now, they should take that chance. The Bulls shouldn’t just blow them off and hope Mello signs with us. If he doesn’t, they’ve shot themselves in the foot.

the guy makes a lot of sense. do u really think james and rose can play together? not good chemistry if u ask me.
"the man who created a legend; the legend who resurrected a franchise."
I don't think, I KNOW they can play together
The column was ridiculous, it made no sense, and Sccop Jackson is a pretty nonsensical guy. Lebron and Rose would be beasts together, just because they are supremely talented. Take Jordan and Pippen for example. When you look at them purely in terms of their basketball skills, would you think they’d be a good match if you never saw them play together? Probably not. The key is to find the right mix to put around your superstar players

.All won championships because great players make other players great,I think they would be fine taking turns scoring 30-40 pts a game
My prediction is wade comes home and we get bosh or david lee to join him, ithink guilt will get to LBJ about leaving the city and he’ll stay(Im 50- 50 on that) but if he really wants to win the you know where he ends up CHI-Town

Everyone knows you can’t put Jordan, and Pippen together…
Their games are too similar, blah, blah, blah…
It is difficult for me to understand how ANYONE, but especially a Bulls fan, could fall for the arguement that star players with similar styles and skill sets can’t play together. Plus playing with James or Wade would probably help Rose expand his game as well. I’m sure Pippen learned plenty of tricks from Jordan.
That was another idiotic article by Scoop Jackson, but apparently

Wade Bandwagon
I think it is funny how bulls fans now want D-Wade on the bulls, before most bulls fans didn’t want anything to do with him because of his comments about loyalty. I wonder if bulls fans will go back to hating him, if Wade chooses to go back to Miami. I said this before, i don’t really care who the bulls get as long as it isn’t pargo, amare, and joe johnson……….give me Lee and couple of players that can hit 3’s and it will be a good offfseason for me, but not a great one
It was clear that Riley was in his head.
Riley is 80 times smarter than D-Wade and had, up until this point, somehow convinced him to not even PURSUE free agency. Imagine that. Luckily Wade got away from his clutches and came to his senses. But since Riley’s going to meet with him again (supposedly) he’s going to get a chance to reprogram him. Which = we’re screwed.
this statement has no basis in reality. Wade has been talking about testing the waters all season

This quote REALLY makes me think that
Wade’s signing with Chicago if we don’t get LBJ (and that’s a big IF lol… I’m not saying we aren’t)
Wade: “You go through a whole season, even the last two seasons, and feel incomplete in a way, no matter what kind of success you have, because you don’t have the most important thing to you with you,” Wade told AP two weeks ago. “My boys. To be able to have this relationship with them as I have since this summer, it’s been probably the best feeling I’ve had since winning the championship. I don’t think people really understand that.”
I don’t have a link, someone on RealGM posted it.

don't know if this was linked yet...
but according to this, knicks don’t exactly have amare locked up:
“He spent the weekend in N.Y. with his agent,” Walsh said. “He went to some baseball games. [Coach] Mike [D’Antoni] met with him today to talk basketball and some personal issue this morning. We’re meeting with him tomorrow. We haven’t sat down and talked contract [with] him at all.”
"They should. They better. I'm Vinny Del Negro!"
Just saw the ESPN crawl that he went to Donnie Walsh's 4th of July party today.
Kind of funny that of all people, Amare is the one they’re the closest to locking up given the issues between him and D’Antoni.

Just confirmed, Wade has meeting scheduled later this week with Heat owner Micky Arison, the ultimate power pairing. Last voice is critical.
So this most likely means we wont hear anything from the Big 3 until Thursday…great…pretty much another whole week of this shit

i've gotta think this is a pretty good sign for us though
things must be pretty damn serious if they’re scheduling a sitdown like this. who knows, maybe Wade gives him the “it’s been great playing here, but i have to do what’s best for my family.” what new things could the owner say at this point that Wade doesn’t already know?
The Raptors, who have fielded calls from “half the league,” the source says, currently have six sign-and-trade proposals ready to be executed. Offers from Miami and Chicago, according to the source, are being more heavily considered than the rest.
It looks like Bosh has multiple offers, and the one’s he is considering the most are Heat and Bulls, and that the Raptors are just waiting for the word from him on which deal to take.

Jake’s got it right. I am a Lebron fan and I was a Cavs fan but 5 years of screwing up the roster and refusing to make slam dunk deals (getting Jamison because you don’t want to give up JJ Hickson tfor Amare) is the reason they’re not in a position to win. And i’m hoping Lebron chooses the Bulls because imo it’s the best team for him.

You could have just summarized that by saying you are a Lebron Fan
..and not a Cavs fan. Don’t worry, there’s plenty of bandwagon fans like you.
And since you are a bandwagon fan, I’ll forgive you for your poor knowledge of the Cavs. JJ Hickson WAS offered to the Suns for Amare, but the Suns were the ones that backed out of the deal.

I'd be pretty happy with Bosh
and an SG who can shoot the 3. Morrow, Korver, Miller, Reddick in that order. Then a combo guard, Asik and some fillers for the minimum, and call it an offseason.
Rose/Combo
Morrow/Combo
Deng/JJ
Bosh/taj
Noah/Asik
More than likely that’s a 55-60 game winner, and a contender. Not the star studded dream roster, but something I could certainly live with.

The name of the team is ARIZONA DIAMONDBACKS - "I tried to convince them that what they were doing was an aberration, an imbecility, a stupidity without name"
So we have the edge?
The Bulls have the assets to get the deal done, but Miami, which has only Michael Beasley and Mario Chalmers on contract for next season, would have to offer an enticing package of draft picks to go along with the compulsory hefty trade exception for the Raptors to agree.
plus our Charlotte pick will likely be better than any pick from Miami
assuming Miami becomes a top 2 or 3 team during the years of the picks they give up.
i really hope the bulls aren't giving that away!
there is no reason to include the best pick this team will hopefully see in a long while when bosh has all the leverage.
The name of the team is ARIZONA DIAMONDBACKS - "I tried to convince them that what they were doing was an aberration, an imbecility, a stupidity without name"
This only proves one thing to me
He’s waiting Wade to decide and then follow him. If he decides to play for Chicago, Bosh will demand that sign-and-trade. If Wade decides to play in Miami, he would demand a sign-and-trade with the Heat
Stage one: Fire Vinny (check)
Stage two: Hire a good coach (check)
Stage three: Draft a SG who shoots 3 (failed)
Stage four: Sign a top 3 FA
Stage five: Trade Deng, Hinrich, whoever not named Rose or Noah to get another top FA (partially check)
I don't think he is- that would be weird
He’s former Irish with Lebron- he probably has all of the clout in the world with Lebron staying in their home town
You must have me confused with someone else, I have never been to Chicago.
[whispers] I sexually assaulted Scottie Pippen in 1997.
Would be funny to see him go there
And end up being Karl Malone.
Honestly...
my ideal scenario would be
- signing Lee
- Rose and Noah both becoming top 15 players
- winning championships with Rose/Noah at the helm
Of course, I’ll take Lebron too
I've determined there's five possibilities
Four of the five are good for the Bulls. One is most desirable to five which is least desirable.
1. LeBron teams up with Bosh/Boozer/Lee and comes to Chicago to dominate the NBA for the next decade. Wade is left in the dust.
2. LeBron stays in Clevelend and Dwyane Wade teams up with Bosh/Boozer/Lee in Chicago. Chicago dominates the NBA.
3. LeBron teams up with Bosh in New Jersey, and Dwyane Wade realized he’s screwed if he returns to Miami, and teams up with Boozer/Lee to form an intense Eastern Conference rivalry with the Nets.
4. LeBron returns to Cleveland and Wade returns to Miami, however Bosh/Boozer/Lee and then some come to Chicago to create a great team. The Bulls and Cavs battle out the Eastern Conference.
5. LeBron returns to Cleveland and Bosh teams up with Wade in Miami, only to leave the Bulls with Boozer/Lee and then some. The Bulls, Heat, and Cavs battle out the Eastern Conference.

Orlando will always go deep in the east but I don’t see them going all the way. I don’t think you can be a championship team if your paying Rashard Lewis that much for that long. That, and the fact that Jameer and Vince are on the trading block tells me they know it too.

This is what I’ve been saying to try and get pessimistic Bulls fan to be a little happier. Worst cast scenario for you guys is damn good. I think Lebron will go to the Bulls, if he doesn’t I think Wade will, if they are both silly enough to not go the Bulls will still get an all start PF and have money left over to get solid role players (shooters etc).
You were a 1st round playoff team last season, in your worst case scenario add an all star PF and good role players and your a top 4 team in the east. Best case scenario and your championship favorites. That’s a better worst case/best case scenario than pretty much any other team.

As of right now, I think every possibility fathomable has been presented, and thus we should all go do something else for a while and leave the ball in LeBron’s court. His decision likely will come later this week, perhaps Wednesday night or Thursday. That’s the first day teams are permitted to sign free agents.
Although many Nets’ fans — and those whose teams are in the race — have been pulling out their hair waiting for James’ decision, the longer it goes could mean he’s leaning toward changing teams.
Put 2 and 2 together people. His camp is in Akron, if was staying he could say it now and be a hero at the camp. He’s not saying it now because he hasn’t got good news for them. That’s the only logical reason to wait for the camp to be over.

Several reports said he was impressed with the Nets’ pitch, plus they have some talented players already on the roster and more cap room, so that’s to be expected.
The Cavs are the home team, so yes.
And the Bulls offer him a shot at the modern-day legacy of legacies in the NBA, while they already have a playoff-team core in place, as well as more cap room.

But I think if the Bulls have a chance to put Bosh and Wade together over these next three or four days, and it looks like LeBron is dithering, they should take it.
I know a lot of folks on here are saying that it’s a good sign that he’s waiting until after the camp to make, or at least announce, his decision. I don’t know. Are those kids at the camp predominantly from the Cleveland area? He may see all these kids and decide he can’t disappoint them.
Then again, it’s not like he can’t hold the camp in Ohio every year anyway. And it’s not like a bunch of kids are going to pass up an opportunity to go to LeBron James’ basketball camp, whatever team he’s on.

IT just feels like we all might get screwed on this one Lebron is going to feel guilty and stay
Im anti getting happy until the ink drys on the contracts and am setting up for disapointment rite now
But the whole dwayne wade family thing has gotten me thinkinghe might happen and bosh might follow

well yeah, he might pick loyalty over winning
but if the whole wade/bosh thing happens, bulls will probably go on to 25-peat. i’m still optimistic. if he was staying, why wouldn’t he announce it now and be a hero at the akron camp?

I think someone mentioned above that it's not necessarily a camp for Akron kids.
It’s for top h.s. players around the country, Juiceboxjerry said. If he’s holding off on the announcement it’s because it would be a distraction for the kids.

but it is IN akron
whether or not it’s akron kids there, it is still in his hometown.

Interesting, I wondered if they would broach this subject:
During their meeting, the Bulls stressed there would be no special privileges for his friends and management team, like there have been in Cleveland.

Interesting.
I hope they used the Yankees as an example. A team full of stars, but no one is bigger than the team.
And they are his favorite baseball team, no?

it make sense they would say that, but I’m guessing it didn’t play too well with Lebron. On the other hand, if the Cavs had taken a more business like approach, perhaps they would have been more successful.

You've gotta point if he was staying and really thinks cleveland after 7 season's will now get him some help he would have told everyone now
He’s weighing all his options, It does all have to be overwhelming billionare’s telling you how there going to help you become one, How he’ll be the king of there town’s,business opportunities beyond thought
Who would not be impressed and emotional about the whole process, James, with leaving wade and his kids and bosh wanting to feel important.
The dream of getting all three is still alive

How are any team from the east going to get past the lakers,(and soon to be OKC) Super teams have to be created in the league
The bulls,if the trinity happens are at the top obviously of the list and a couple others would be on there way (because of ownership and cap room EG: dallas new jersey and yes new york )

more about the meeting
The Bulls management team made its presentation along with a film that included testimony from many of Chicago’s top business and civic leaders about how James would profit immensely both on and off the court in Chicago, undeniably more than anywhere else. (…)
At the height of the Bulls’ championship run, the Bulls had the league’s highest payroll. Jordan in 1988 signed one of the first true groundbreaking contracts in pro sports that shocked the world, the eight-year $25 million blockbuster which was international news. It came when Jordan hadn’t even been past the second round of the playoffs. Ben Wallace, bad investment or not, was offered $12 million more than even his home team offered whom he helped win a championship. When Jay Williams was injured and violated his contract the Bulls paid him anyway, just as they did Jordan when he quit basketball to play minor league baseball.

couldn’t they have waited to tell him this until after he signed on the dotted line????

As crazy as this all has made us,
we should take solace in knowing that in terms of winning, we’re the best option. Let’s not forget that. We can speculate about their emotions all we want, but it’s useless, as we don’t know them personally. But in terms of logic, we all know which team is most appealing basketball-wise: The Bulls. You don’t have to get into these guys collective heads to figure that out. Let’s not forget that.
I could see
Us getting Lebron and DWade. They could easily take their time separately to think about things and see Chicago as the best option for the professional and/or personal lives.
Lebron because it’s his best chance to win titles, DWade because he gets to be with his kids. So what happens when the 3 Amigos sit down to talk about things and they’ve both picked Chicago? Chris Bosh is basically ass out LOL
see tahts what i want to happen
but can you really see bosh/wade’s agent letting bosh get left out?
thats why i believe you either get wade/bosh or lebron in any scenario

Details on the Cavs' pitch
the bulls pitch has got to be better than that! guilt trips and fart jokes. just, wow.
The Bulls pitch went like this:
“Look at our coach and roster. Wanna be the favorites to win every year for the life of your contract?”
Go Rockets/Nets[CDR]/Bucks[Jennings]!

I hope that's what it was
Look, if Lebron wants to win, CHI is a no brainer. If he goes anywhere besides CHI or CLE, all of that stuff about wanting to be a winner will be exposed as bs.
He’s going to see through it. While it’s fun to laugh at inside jokes and think of good times he has to think back to the advice he got from KG (who had the same experience) and follow it, he can’t let loyalty and guilt stop him from making the right decision. The Bulls pitch was about youth, talent, coaching, championships and dynasties. The Cavs pitch was about inside jokes because they don’t have all those things the Bulls talked about, and don’t look like having it anytime soon.
I completely believe some time late Wednesday or early Thursday he’ll announce to the world he’s signing with the Bulls, they will then take their pick of all star PF free agents. This super team will then have veteran role players begging to join them, filling out the roster will be easier than people think.

Nets, Bulls, Cavs on James's narrowed list?
League sources said he’s deciding from among the Cavaliers, Bulls and Nets.
dunno if this was posted yet, here’s the article: http://www.northjersey.com/sports/sports_rotator/070510_LeBron_James_puts_off_making_decisions_sources_say_Nets_among_final_three.html?c=y&page=1
so i was looking at free agent mike miller's college and pro stats just now. miller is
a career 40% 3pt shooter in the nba. at florida he shot 36% from 3 his fr. year and 34% from 3 his soph. year. isnt that strange? where did that shooting stroke come from?
"If I was to answer that question honestly, I would have to lie to you."
- Isiah Thomas, when asked if any teams were interested in trading for Shandon Anderson
maybe he was the 1st option in college therefore the focus of the defense
and in the nba, he’s more of a very good role player
You know...
In all of this, assuming Lebron stays put, I still can’t see why—from a basketball perspective—Wade stays in Miami. Best case for the Heat: Bosh teams up with Wade and they have a junk-drawer roster. Worst case for the Heat: Bosh is headed West in a S&T; That is, then, I’m really not too worried about the King and It feels so good. It’s almost like a supernatural peace I have here on Monday morning. Surpasses all understanding, but I think Wade comes to Chicago.
DWADE:
Back in MIA excited about the D. Wade All-Star Camp starting tmr – Thurs. Only open to boys and girls b/w 7-18….
So, he too has a basketball camp. this only means that he’ll announce his decision on or after the camp. If he annpunces it during the camp, for sure he is staying in MIAMI. On the event that he announces it after the camp, there might be a chance that he is leaving MIAMI. Hmmmmm
Wade
I get the feeling that Wade is stringing the Bulls along to keep his name in the headlines and to provide some material for his reality show. These guys are all drama queens.
i just noticed in JAMES website it now says...GETTING CLOSER
last time round it said “SOMETHING’S COMING”. I’m not totally sure that that’s what it said the last time but I’m very sure that it wasn’t what it says now. He is just bringing drama to this free agency! What a douche!
Tomorrow it'll say "Almost there"
The next day it’ll say “So close you can almost touch it!”
Then the next day it’ll say “lol jk it’s far away again.”
"Nothing can happen till you swing the bat."

this makes me think he's staying in Cleveland
if he’s had his decision since today/whenever and is just hinting at it.
I suppose it could also mean Chi, or NJ, but I think he’s just upping suspense aimlessly for free self promotion.

I emailed Sam Smith about a couple ideas and he keeps saying
“bulls tried to trade deng and failed”
I’m starting to think Bulls should not wait on this non-sense and just sign Boozer and then wait on Wade/Lebron. cuz if boozer is signed to a contract with 13 mil first year bulls could still get a max contract player.
if they're trying so hard to trade Deng
wouldn’t that suggest they’re confident in landing LeBron?
by NerdVernacular on Jul 5, 2010 9:13 AM CDT up reply actions
Stringing us along
is fine and everything. I mean, sure it might make for good television or whatever, but it really doesn’t answer the question of who is going to be filling out Miami’s roster at the end of the day.
You see....
If it was known when Bosh was going to decide, maybe we could all get back to our regularly schedueled lives. But, as of now, I’ve spent so much time purusing around the internet, chasing an invisible unicorn, trying to get a read on these guys—a handle on anything—that my wife has (in the last three days) questioned me about fighting depression (I told her this is like fighting the air), questioned my marital faithfulness (as in, “you seem so absent when you’re at home”), and questioned the line between sports as an affinity or an obsession. My point to her being, that line is blurry to begin with and times like these are like emergency hostage situations. This is a two-handed affair here. This is my fault. This is their fault. And my point to you, is Lebron James, Chris Bosh, and Dwayne Wade have me at gunpoint. I wish they’d pull the fucking trigger already.
