This is an incredibly good pickup, Pargo’s been solid everywhere he’s been and is a good guy. I like this signing a lot.
Playoffs a virtual lock after this move.

Oh dear.

On the flip side, YES! No more Pargo. No more bricks. No more chucks. No more “What the hell is he doing?!?!” moments.

End of an era.

I assume the second quote is a joke

Yes, Org.-apologists: I do agree that the Warriors fans have it much worse off than us.

Right here numbnuts!

We were not going to extend longer term money and sign CJ Watson a number 10 player off our bench a multi year multi million dollar contract. Good luck with him. We signed Pargo for a veteran Minimum for 1 year and a team option when he is our 11th or 12th man. He iwll not see much playing time and neither would have CJ watson. Good luck to you and Miami.

You play him, he’ll shoot. He misses, he keeps shooting. He makes, he shoots even more.

Hyperbole much?

Thomas, Miller, Salmons, James, Pargo, Gray, MLE, and (there is no LLE thanks to the Pargo signing) will not be here with a Max Free Agent...don't get too attached.

In all seriousness...

… why would anyone sign him for anything more than the league minimum?

by Stay Chisel on Jul 27, 2010 5:14 PM CDT reply actions

I don't get it either

he should’ve been here for the minimum last year, and followed it with a terrible year, and gets more than the min. again.

A 2 year contract for Pargo?

He was playing in Europe a year ago. He’s the exact kind of player that you sign for one year at the league minimum.

Yeah, D Rose better not get a short mohawk or else Funk will be doomed.

Which BTW, this post seems to be the appropriate place to say that we lost one of the worst people from the bulls, but we have one more that has to go.

I remember when Bill Simmons said

at this point he wouldn’t be surprised to see Don Nelson coach a game naked from the waist down. What the hell is GS doing? Didn’t they just get a new owner? Way to start off a new era…

by cp881289 on Jul 27, 2010 9:15 PM CDT reply actions

So why pay him more than the veteran minimum?

If he’s just some guy you’re hoping doesn’t play? Face it, somebody in the front office expects him and wants him to play.

by runningman on Jul 28, 2010 3:00 AM CDT up reply actions

agent Mark Bartelstien may be the best agent in the game

seriously. How the HELL did he get a 2 year deal worth that much cash!

by 72-10 on Jul 27, 2010 9:43 PM CDT reply actions

how many minutes does your 12th man play

Your team must have sucked last year if he played that many minutes to be that noticable.

by StinkyFingers on Jul 27, 2010 9:53 PM CDT up reply actions

Also

If your 12th man is getting a lot of minutes, wouldn’t that mean your team is absurdly good? If Bobby Hansen’s on the floor I’m going to assume Jordan’s icing his knees and kidding around.

Hinrich traded and Pargo signed so we can’t sign him.

And, no Vinny!

the new age Rick Brunson or Burnson, that guy that rode the bench for the Knicks, Clippers, Bulls, Raptors, and various NBA teams, if anybody remembers him.
