usually, you’re just told that he’s been shooting a ton and has gotten better.
i’m glad to hear that it’s not just repetition but also improved technique. bodes well moving forward.

Not holding out hope. You are either a shooter or not. You can improve a little

but he will never stroke it like say Steph Curry who is a natural.

Don't really need him to be that kind of shooter because that's not his game.

If he can get his three point percentage to around 32-35% within the next year or two that will be more than sufficient. Stephen Curry will probably be the better shooter for the rest of their respective careers but he will never be anywhere near the all around offensive threat that Derrick is. He’s a nice player and all but I doubt other players dread having to play defense on him like they do with Rose.

Ummm...no

People aren’t born knowing how to shoot a ball. Jordan went from 17.3% on 3Ps to around 40% in his peak seasons. It’s possible to get better.
