@JTMamba24 Durant is the man on the USA team, W/no Amare who's 2nd best? (Not sure KD is no. 1. DRose has been best player so far.)

Ric Bucher on Twitter

I know Bucher has always been a major Rose fan, but still, you can't help but get excited at that.

Rose for averaging 35+ minutes, 20+ppg and 7+ assists per game.
He is the new face of US basketball, athletic, talented, clean and 100% BULL baby.

Wow.

Great to hear. Saw a few plays during the NBATV special and Rose looked tremendous. Looks like he’s ready to take the jump.

If we run into the Big 3 in the playoffs, every NBA fan outside Miami is going to be with us. Gonna be a lot of fun.

So glad no mention of Rondo.

Our man Chris Sheridan has a Rondo feature on ESPN

I swear, that guy hates everyone outside of the Northeast.

Deng/Boozer/Noah: All your rebound are belong to us.

That guy is a joke

He lost all credibility when he tried to make the argument that the Knicks roster was more ready to win with LeBron than the Bulls roster.

by JSB on Jul 22, 2010 11:09 PM CDT up reply actions

He'll never live that shit down

He was actually using guys like Andy Rautins (the Knicks mid second round pick this year) as a reason why the Knicks supporting cast was better than the Bulls. He was the king of the jackasses in my eyes

Superteams suck.

Are we ready for "the leap"?

Man, how sweet would that be. Our own homegrown superstar.

by JSB on Jul 22, 2010 10:26 PM CDT reply actions   1 recs

kinda wondering

rose’s game is much like wade’s (when he was younger)
and theyre of identical size.

i wonder if we could pull off a trade for cp3 using deng and have a backcourt of rose/cp3 using rose as dwade mold type of 2. where he slashes and cuts

someone teach me how to get Sam Smith's job when he retires

by sin on Jul 22, 2010 11:45 PM CDT up reply actions

no way. at least, not if you mean right now. maybe at the same age. wade is basically a RB

and he may be the strongest SG in the league. he is super thick.

"If I was to answer that question honestly, I would have to lie to you."

- Isiah Thomas, when asked if any teams were interested in trading for Shandon Anderson

by TheMoon on Jul 23, 2010 1:21 AM CDT up reply actions

Wade is definitely thicker,

but Derrick absorbs contact just as well as Wade does. That said, Wade is the much stronger defender. Rose gets pushed around much more.

by dakoose on Jul 23, 2010 1:26 AM CDT up reply actions

I'd much rather have him turn into Wade defensively before he adds a 3-pt shot.

I still can’t believe* so many Chicagoans are willing to overlook half of the game. If his D doesn’t get significantly better, Rose would have to be the best offensive player in the NBA to be considered a true superstar (one who is actually worthy of the title, unlike Carmelo Anthony).

Rose is going to be awesome on offense; this is virtually inevitable. I really hope Thibs can make him an average defender. I just wonder if he hast he requisite skills.

In the past 10 years, just four team owners have not paid a luxury tax and are not on pace to pay one this year: Donald Sterling, Jerry Reinsdorf, Chris Cohen (Golden State), Bob Johnson (Charlotte).

Two owners’ teams averaged an operating income of over +$10 million per year while their teams have lost over 60% of their games: Donald Sterling and Jerry Reinsdorf.

I'm super excited to watch the blue/white game on Saturday.

Rose better shit on all those point guards. Rondo, Westbrook, Curry, Billups, bring ‘em all on. Rose is awesome, and he’s ours!

by dakoose on Jul 23, 2010 1:34 AM CDT reply actions

From what I saw during the special on NBAtv

They had Curry running the SG with D.Rose as PG. I hope Rondo and Westbrook are one team and Curry/DRose on the other.

by Ceasaleo on Jul 23, 2010 7:12 AM CDT reply actions

The Rose Curry combo would dominate!

Curry is a freakin amazing shooter and creator himself. That combo would be impossible to stop.

by DRose01 on Jul 23, 2010 7:28 AM CDT up reply actions

Sounds like it would smell pretty interesting too.

You're really not over LeBron yet, are you?

He's trying to get over it by making jokes

but it’s probably not working. We’ll be hearing Lebron jokes into the 2019-2020 season.

I just opened a pack of basketball cards that I bought at Target from the 06-07 season and got a BG Bulls card.

Man, I was excited to see him in red, white and black. It seems like he died rather than going somewhere else. Detroit Basketball is garbage right now. I went up to see the Bulls play Detroit in Auburn Hills late last year and he just didn’t seem like the same player. Very sad.

What the hell are you trying to do here, Unreal?

Kill yfbb? Is that what you want? To melancholy him to death?
