These Early Signings Could Be Good

With guys like Joe Johnson and Rudy Gay agreeing to deals early, it may look like the pool is drying up.  But if u take another look, this may be a very good thing for the Bulls.  No one really wanted to give JJ that max money to come here, and I doubt we were ever after Gay. And this could help us get Bosh.

It's crazy to me why so many people have been overlooking this option, but we don't HAVE to trade with Toronto straight up to get Bosh.  So these packages where ur giving James Johnson, Taj Gibson, and every 1st round pick til 2020 are unnecessary.  Because of these early signings, two premier swingmen in this FA class are off the books.  The best is still out there but that looks like a 2-horse race.  Have u taken a look at some of these contracts?  Lu's contract is looking better and better every day, and he becomes a much more viable option for teams looking for a SF, that lose out when JJ and Gay resign.

The teams that I kept seeing rumored for Gay were NJ and Minny.  And I've read and heard that the Clippers were looking for a SF.  Let's knock NJ out of there, because I doubt they'd be willing to help us out, we keep LAC and Minny.  The criteria we've heard from Toronto all along was big man and/or young talent and picks.  What just happens to be both of these teams' most tradeable asset?  Young big men that could play C, next to Bargnani.  Jefferson in Minny, and Kaman in LAC.

I know what ur thinking what if we work this trade out and don't get Lebron, who's our SF.  In this scenario, u still have James Johnson and just make sure u get someone in the trade like Martell Webster from Minny, or Steve Blake and Rasual Butler from LAC, and use the left over money on a couple of lower tier guys.  As long as Lebron doesn't end up in Miami, just having Bosh makes us a much stronger team IMO.

I really hope that Gar Paxdorf are thinking with an open mind, there is definitely a way to get Bosh here without giving up Gibson or a bunch of picks.
