Is it even possible for Samuels to not make the roster?

He’s looked great so far. He’d be great with the Bulls too.

Bouldin

His slow, rock you to sleep style would be good if he could at least shoot or finish. He really does neither.

What is Fratello talking about?

Maybe I am being too critical, but he is saying how well Johnson has played and honestly he hasn’t shown me much throughout these games. As I type this he picks up his 4th foul already on another horrible decision.

He’s been playing a lot of SG and SF. So who knows. He looks like he’s around 210-220

He does look big.

His handles are deceiving. One play he looks great, then another play he looks like a 5th grader.

by blzrfan on Jul 18, 2010 5:56 PM CDT up reply actions

There’s really nothing wrong with his handle AT ALL. He’s probably the 2nd or 3rd best ball handler in this game right now (both teams). His probably has been his decision making in the break. He bowled over 2 guys on fast breaks by being indecisive.

by Mighty Healthy on Jul 18, 2010 6:00 PM CDT up reply actions

- think JJ is struggling to score but he is happy with his D
- he thinks Lucas could be an excellent 3rd guard (i don’t know if he meant 3rd pg or just 3rd guard in general)
- going to implement some of Boston’s sets in Chicago. Compared Rose ability to penetrate to Rondo’s. Likes Boozer’s versatility, and wants to use Deng cutting to the basket and his mid-range game.
- like Samardo Samuels activity.

If this was last year, yes! He’s shown he can really score the basket. I haven’t seen him play too much defense though. With Thibs as the coach, he’s probably looking for defensive players. Byars plays much better defense but doesn’t score as well. It’s gonna be a good battle!

I'd take Almond over Bryers, at least at this point.

by windycitywarrior on Jul 18, 2010 6:06 PM CDT up reply actions

I agree

Both are good, pure shooters. It wouldn’t hurt to consider either of them.

I guess I’d wanted Almond because he’s gotten a lot more shot attempts. I’m sure Bryers will be fine if he can get some more shots off.
