Which teams are most impacted by LeBron James not touring for free agency?
[I'm hijacking this fanshot, since the last post is starting to get long. Nothing especially new here, but it was kind of a fun little article - while they give Cleveland home court advantage, they note the Bulls have the best basketball argument. Oh, and point out that both the Miami and New York rosters leave a lot to be desired. - substitute ed.]

perusing the knicks SBN site..
i barely see one mention of lebron. it’s like they’re afraid to even mention him.
yeah i noticed that too
and when they do mention him, they resort to the same speculation that he wouldn’t want to play in Jordan’s shadow…
Checked out the Miami site too, do they have any fans?
You should check out the Knicks board on RealGM lol

oh god.
the knicks realGM site, the admin there is trolling the Bulls forum (nice) and substantially faking rumors and inside scoops that then get debunked by Chris Broussard himself, which then lead to the same person tweeting Broussard to fuck himself and die.
overall, SBNation > real GM, although its great to look over and laugh once in a while.

i think you can make a strong argument for real GM
Real GM has thousands of members and there’s new topics that arise by the hour.
And looking at those ridiculous GIF’s are pretty entertaining

you can say that Real GM's bulls fans have some very quality insights

perhaps,
but the site as a whole is more chaos than rule and more quantity of posts than quality of information.
Not everyone her has something to say, or knowledge to backup what they say, or an inside scoop,
but from the time I’ve spent browsing those forums, there’s a whole lot of bullcrap about someone knowing someone else, and its happening constantly.
Count me out for that. I’ll take us over analyzing and nitpicking rumors everyday and arguing the crap out of each other, over them making rumors and over analyzing and arguing the crap out of each other.

A sample of knick realgm
“Plugged-in-me sources tell Chris Broussard that LeBron is excited about meeting with the Knicks and said sources and voices in Broussard’s head are telling him to think fast and try to match Joe Johnson with the Knicks and push him to New York before LeBron signs a contract with the Knicks. Sources tell Chris Broussard to start panicking pretty soon.”
Exactly Bulls sucked really bad BEFORE and after MJ. In fact, they were one of the absolute worst teams in both of those long eras. They were bad in the 80’s and had several bad years after MJ retired. A mediocre playoff team when Paxson took over.
The Bulls have had one good stretch in their history.
ruhTard is a serious joke man. I can’t believe he doesn’t see his bias at all. I’d be OK with him being biased if he admitted that he dislikes the Knicks similar to Simmons letting everyone know he’s a Celtics fan.
ruhTard covering this story as if he’s objective insults all of our collective IQ. And it goes both ways. Bulls fans won’t bash him now because of course, he’s an ally (so much for objectivity). But I bet they won’t be too happy with him in the event that LeBron does not sign with the Bulls. All that hope stirred by him only to fall off a cliff.
I really think D’antoni and his system is the what brings lebron to NYK. D’antoni can be for lebron what phil jackson is for kobe, popovich for Tim Duncan and the spurs, etc. Its great players who fit extremely well with a great coach and system. The teams that have won championships this past decade for the most part have had teams that come together almost seamlessly….Lebron in D’antoni’s system is DEADLY and if lebron is a student of the game, he knows it. If he gets the chance to be put in a system he knows is perfect for him, get another young all star to play along side him with good role players, and in a city he likes, it will be extremely hard for him to turn that down.
I sincerely believe that the pieces fit way better in NY than Chicago. Better shooters, better coaching , no one who would compete for the ball, superior roleplayers and superior growth potential. IMO, It’s really a much better fit e irregardless of talent.
Introduce a little anarchy. Upset the established order, and everything becomes chaos. I'm an agent of chaos. Oh, and you know the thing about chaos? It's fair!

Hilarious.
Many may disagree with me, but I don’t think “students of the game” would universally agree that D’Antoni’s system, still baron of any championships, is viewed as something on the level of the Triangle, etc. Give me a break…
Gallo is the best player coming out of 2008 draft. By Far…
Gallo will be on Rose’s level real soon. Sit back and watch. It was Gallos first healthy season last year and he only got better as the year went on. Now hes completely healthy and doesnt have to worry about rehabbing the whole summer.
It’s bad. Real bad. They were the media darlings for 2 years in the LeBron sweepstakes, and all of a sudden, as the summer of 2010 gets real close, one of their most hated rivals passes them (and everyone else) up as the favorites to land LeBron. That’s a pretty tough pill to swallow. All the delusion and stuff is just their way of coping

superior role players?
superior growth potential?

Seriously. Some guys on ESPN need to stop.
We will have a very good shot to win multiple championships with Lebron and one or two other guys, but why should Lebron’s legacy, or any other player’s legacy be based on how many rings he wins in comparison to MJ? I know that’s been the norm for the media ever since MJ retired (the second time), to try and compare people to him as much as possible. If Lebron ‘only’ wins 3-4 championships, and not 7, then so be it. He will never be another player, he just has to be himself.
agreed,
sheer stupidity and such a waste of time to compare and contrast players careers. Enjoy the game. Like Ditka would say “live in the past, die in the past!”
Oz on Swish HR celeb: "That's the way he is. Good for him, enjoy it. I wish he could do it for me, he was a very horseshit player for me.''
the past is for cowards and losers
unless we are talking about MJ and the Bulls

Lebron
is already the best ever, imo, and shortly after his career is over somebody will come along who could play professionally at 14 (LeBron may have been close near there for a roster spot). It’s just the way things go as people get bigger and sports science gets better.
Even though it makes more sense in basketball than any other sport, simply because having great individual players is generally the only way to win a ‘ship, it’s still incredibly stupid that sports media is obsessed with number of championships as defining the quality of a career. But honestly, what else do you expect? Your major sports media still don’t understand what PER is or that you shouldn’t bunt with no outs and guys on first and second.

Won't we hate Lebron with a 1,000,000 degree fire if he signs with NY?
It would be so fun watching Rose, Noah, and Joe Johnson preventing Lebron from winning a championship, hehe.

that team would be a miracle win!!!
In the past 10 years, just four team owners have not paid a luxury tax and are not on pace to pay one this year: Donald Sterling, Jerry Reinsdorf, Chris Cohen (Golden State), Bob Johnson (Charlotte).
Two owners’ teams averaged an operating income of over +$10 million per year while their teams have lost over 60% of their games: Donald Sterling and Jerry Reinsdorf.
Is the Lebron red and black shoe real?

that article
makes chicago sound like a second class city.
fuck that shit.
"They should. They better. I'm Vinny Del Negro!"
it's not even that
but talking about how miami has great weather? from all i’ve heard, miami is a shithole basically lol.
"They should. They better. I'm Vinny Del Negro!"
New York Will Hate Us Forever
Between the Jordan era, the Eddy Curry dumping, and now potentially the Lebron signing, we will now be the Yankees to their Red Sox. And I love it. It’s hard to feel bad for a terrible organization who embraced the media hype of what was basically an unrealistic scenario.
Well. I can't comment on cities.
I live pretty far from both cities. I have been to New York a couple times, but don’t really have a real opinion. It seems like a good city, but then again, everything seems good when you are a tourist! I’ve never been to Chicago, but I love the team, and have followed them since the mid 90’s (no I am not a bandwagon fan). I was there throughout the baby bulls era post 1998, and have cheered for them every year. We’ll see what happens, but even if Lebron doesn’t come here, we will get guys that will be good enough to bring us to that next level. I don’t look cities as much as some, I just look at the team and the players. Pippen was one of my favorite players. Everyone on that team knew what they were supposed to do, from Wennington and Simpkins to Pippen and Jordan. Unfortunately, we don’t see that kind of b-ball very much in today’s game, IMO.
As I've been repeating on here lately
I just can’t wrap my god damn mind around any of this. It’s all too big, does not compute.
im getting giddy!!!!
Oz on Swish HR celeb: "That's the way he is. Good for him, enjoy it. I wish he could do it for me, he was a very horseshit player for me.''
You mean the best basketball team, right?
I can’t wrap my mind around the Bulls being that team….I mean, I personally attended over 20 games during the first Ron Mercer year, man. I can’t believe this shit….
