Deng

Alright, I'll admit it - I'm a little biased.  I'm English, which means I have a soft spot for Deng.

When Deng got his big contract in the summer of 2008, he was a little overpaid, but with decent pedigree and looking like he had room to improve.  He didn't make the steps that we hoped over the next couple of years, but watching the team (particularly last year) it doesn't seem like they are playing to his strengths.

I'm not going to argue that he should be the primary option, that would be borderline crazy.  But I'm genuinely interested to see how he does in a non-Del Negro offense, this might revive his game and make him into the player we always thought (hoped) he would be.

He's overpaid, but he's a very good player, marginalized by a poor offensive scheme which doesn't suit him.  Let's not go crazy and trade him away for garbage - he's a genuine asset and we should be treating him in trades as such.

However, I'm interested in seeing what the broader community thinks, so I'm opening it up to you lot.

And I realize that there are a lot of "what ifs" here with regard to James, Bosh and other procrastinating sods, so treat this as a conversation starter rather than a fully-thought out poll...
