All about Thibo: While Boston tried to eliminate Orlando in the Eastern Conference finals, Celtics coach Doc Rivers said New Orleans has not offered its head coaching job to assistant Tom Thibodeau.
“I’m hoping they do (offer him the job) soon,” Rivers said during a Thursday teleconference. “I told you he’s terrific, and he works his butt off. There’s nobody that’s going to work harder than Tom Thibodeau, ever. And he’s never going to be distracted from his job. That’s the one guy I have no concern with.”
Slow news day: The Bulls are also very interested in Tom Thibodeau, but will have to wait until the Boston-Orlando series ends to talk to him. Multiple reports had Thibodeau signing with the same agency that represents LeBron James.
So the Bulls coaching search is moving slowly, but that’s mostly because they’re waiting for the Celtics to get a playoff break. Meanwhile, their other top candidates, Maurice Cheeks and Lawrence Frank, don’t appear to be going anywhere.
New Jersey reportedly plans to meet with ex-Dallas coach Avery Johnson this weekend. The Bulls aren’t interested, thinking they need a more player-friendly boss.

interesting
that that is the reasoning for not going after avery, but it’s not like i’ve heard particularly good things about frank in that aspect either.
maybe that’s why they’ve backed off him.
"They should. They better. I'm Vinny Del Negro!"
very nice: talent makes the job?
hope that catches on with FAs too.
We still have no idea if the Bulls actually want him though, outside of ’Reinsdorf’s intrigued’ and other such vagaries
