I like it. Although, I still can't fathom has Nocioni has fans who consider him a "bruiser". Especially when the guy was just talking about needing a post presence. Whatever. Discuss Diaw for Hinrich straight-up.

Not a fan

If we get some serious business done this off season, either one of these guys would be coming off the bench, in which case I think Hinrich’s bench contributions would be more valuable to the team. Plus you know Hinrich would at least put in the effort in that type of role, whereas Diaw’s “desire” has come into question at times.

If you're reading this signature, there's a good chance you don't like Vinny Del Negro.

Btw, my opinion could totally flip flop according to how this team is constructed

There’s definitely some plausible scenarios (Free agency wise) where I could see Diaw being the better fit, but in most cases I’d prefer Hinrich (plus the org would never do it, so it doesn’t matter anyway).

wow, that's a lot of former bulls

kirk, tyrus, noc, gooden, even tyson chandler. i got depressed just reading that.

if we’re talking about strictly bench roles, i think i’d do Kirk for Diaw, but i’d wait until all sign-and-trade possibilities are exhausted before pulling the trigger on it. plus, if we don’t get a starting SG (through FA or the draft) we might actually need Hinrich around. but on the flip side, if Taj can be used in a S&T, Diaw would be nice to replace him as the bench PF as well as a guy that can be used at multiple positions. so i guess it just depends on what else happens. sort of a finishing touch type of move after the big stuff is taken care of.

Diaw's contract ends one year sooner

Also, I couldn’t help but think perhaps Diaw looks better to Toronto (in need of frontcourt help) in a S & T package for Bosh than if Hinrich were included. He could be of more value to them.

If you have to deal Taj to acquire Bosh, then this makes some sense, I guess.

The Bulls would be pretty thin in the backcourt, I think.

There's gotta be a way to finagle ourselves into

Rudy Fernandez’ super cheap 3 year contract. Him and James Anderson would be the shiznit@ the 2. RaptorsHQ folks are talking Deng and Taj (no #17). I liked that alot. If you could somehow get Fernandez contract for either a pick or a sign and trade castoff or both.

Depends on who else we get this summer

I’m leaning towards no, but if we draft Anderson, sign a guy like Roger Mason, and move Taj in a S + T, then I’d say yes.

Brad Miller is god.

Not a high priority deal for the Bulls at this point...

As we only have six players under contract for next season…once the dominoes of free agency fall, the Bulls can then assess their real needs…

I don’t know if I like Diaw as a starting PF next to Noah, and not sure if he could play off the bench and accept that role…

Thomas, Miller, Salmons, James, Pargo, Gray, MLE, and (there is no LLE thanks to the Pargo signing) will not be here with a Max Free Agent...don't get too attached.

The interesting thing is (sort of)...

…With Rose, Hinrich, James, Diaw, Noah, they would be like the best passing team in the NBA. Ball movement!!!

In the past 10 years, just four team owners have not paid a luxury tax and are not on pace to pay one this year: Donald Sterling, Jerry Reinsdorf, Chris Cohen (Golden State), Bob Johnson (Charlotte).

Two owners’ teams averaged an operating income of over +$10 million per year while their teams have lost over 60% of their games: Donald Sterling and Jerry Reinsdorf.

Now that you mention it, we had one of the best passing teams last year

Miller and Noah are two of the best passing bigs in the league, and we were essentially starting 2 PGs. Joke about ball movement all you want, but the pieces were there to put together a sophisticated offensive scheme that teams with less passing ability wouldn’t have been able to make work. Yet another reason why it’s pathetic for us to have been a bottom 5 offense last year.

Brad Miller is god.

yep.

Although Johnson, Thomas, Deng and Gibson were atrocious passers.
