On Sportscenter?

Was he recapping the Suns-Lakers or something? I missed him.

ESPN or ESPN News?

If you're reading this signature, there's a good chance you don't like Vinny Del Negro.

It's replaying right now

Vinny on ESPN.

Yep, he sounds good

He says ‘quarter’ weirdly, though.

Yeah

I only listened to a handful of post-game conferences, either due to anger or laziness, and when I did watch them I didn’t really listen to him because it was always the same response, such as: “I haven’t watched the tape yet” or “We didn’t attack enough, didn’t get enough thrust.”

He's one of the most athletic 37 year old I've ever seen.

You can contribute that to the many years he missed due to injury.

He is not athletic

He just isn’t. He’s crafty, not athletic

by Option27 on May 20, 2010 12:07 AM CDT up reply actions

No they're not

Just off the top of my head

Brad Miller, Eddy Curry, Al Jefferson, Coby Karl, Grant Hill, Andres Nocioni and Zach Randolph

by Option27 on May 20, 2010 12:42 AM CDT up reply actions

That Block

Grant HIll made on I think Ginobili to seal game 3 or game 4 of that series this year was extremely athletic. Grant Hill lost a good part of his explosiveness that he had what 15 years ago due to all the injuries, but he’s still got some athleticism left in spurts.

Compared to the rest of the NBA, they're not athletic

Compared to the general population, they’re all likely 95th percentile in athleticism.

It will be found an unjust and unwise jealousy to deprive a man of his natural liberty upon the supposition he may abuse it.

Actually yeah, that's a better way of putting it

I stand corrected. I was basically talking about the NBA playing field

by Option27 on May 20, 2010 12:13 PM CDT up reply actions

I still think he's athletic.

He doesn’t always use it, as with age comes wisdom, but he’s definitely shown bursts this season. Just a week or two ago he had a monster dunk, though I don’t remember who it was against, maybe San Antonio.

Now Luol Deng, there’s an nonathletic player.

Metal sharpens metal.

And this guy right here understands and knows what leadership is all about: The coach, the hall of famer......... Dick Butka! George Ryan

The Bulls shrink like a dick in cold water.

The majority of those

guys were fucking fat, Eddy is a good athlete for his size, Rodney Rodgers was a good athlete

by QUINTEN DALEY on May 20, 2010 12:41 PM CDT up reply actions

fat but still strong

how is ‘athletic’ being defined here? if its being defined as explosive (like hops) then maybe you have sort of point, but i always considered athleticism to be the total packagae, strength, speed, quickness. And all those guys were at the very least athletic when it comes to strength. Just look at college basketball players, almost all of them are told they need to gain more weight before being able to hold their own in the nba, and i guarantee growing up they were probably consistently the most athletic people in their highschools.

Who here thinks they can out run shaq? Im pretty sure i cant (and i am a pretty skinny dude)

I dont care what the D.N.A. Says, the Guy wearing number 12 Cannot be Kirk Hinrich, he is definetly Kurt. Kirk can actually play basketball!

by QUINTEN DALEY on May 20, 2010 12:43 PM CDT up reply actions

vinny would make a great commentator

with his one word comments and his great use of cliches

by sin on May 20, 2010 12:48 AM CDT reply actions
