Around SBN: Kobe Bryant Will Never Top Michael Jordan

So, it turns out the Salmons trade will cost the Bulls two spots in the draft; totally worth it for guaranteed max cap space.

For you capologists out there, the cap hold is $1,302,600.

Glad we're selecting in front of Miami-

If they don’t like any of the point guards in the draft (and I certainly wouldn’t) they’ll be looking for the same thing we are: a big 2 who can knock down three point shots. They’ve suffered a long time with Q. Richardson.

Isn't he good?

Range, handles, defense, rebounding, passing, FT shooting.

how about donatas Montijuinas

?

I dont care what the D.N.A. Says, the Guy wearing number 12 Cannot be Kirk Hinrich, he is definetly Kurt. Kirk can actually play basketball!

He'll be long gone

but as a Lithuanian I’m predisposed to want him, hope he sucks in workouts! =)

He’s probably a year or two away anyways, just hope the 76ers don’t draft him, they’ll ruin him.

he reminds me a bit of something

between gallinari and bargnani….hes bigger and stronger than gallinari, but not as strong as bargnani, i think scouting reports say he can play a bit in the post, but ive seen no proof of it, hes supposed to have fluid handles for his size, and good range…if we ended up getting a sg in 2010 i wouldnt mind taking him, but as u said he might be gone….and european prospects are hard to develop it seems…higher bust rate…

i also like damion james, in case we trade luol deng, hes a defensive minded sf with good athleticism, but im sure his offensive game is pretty limited…

xavier henry is still my first pick but i think someone steals him much earlier than anticipated, i dont know why he reminds me a bit of t-mac, james anderson seems like a solid option at the 2 mainly because of his ability to shoot but i hear his potential isnt too high, ive heard of willi warren but dont know much about him, i know nothing about eliot williams….wheres tyger with his draft pick nominees?

I dont care what the D.N.A. Says, the Guy wearing number 12 Cannot be Kirk Hinrich, he is definetly Kurt. Kirk can actually play basketball!

by piccolomair on Apr 15, 2010 10:43 AM CDT up reply actions

i read hes 6'4

and projected to go late first round…ben gordon he is not…so ill pass (meaning hes an undersized sg without the scoring ability that a ben gordon or stephon curry or an eric gordon possesses, so what is he then, jannero pargo…PASS)

I dont care what the D.N.A. Says, the Guy wearing number 12 Cannot be Kirk Hinrich, he is definetly Kurt. Kirk can actually play basketball!

I don't follow the NCAA players at all closely, but...

I was very impressed with Ekpe Udoh in the tournament (and couldn’t care less about his age).

I do like udoh a lot too

And if there weren’t 5 all-star PFs set to become free agents, I’d go for him.

Brad Miller is god.

Ya!

Trade that pick + Deng for ANYBODY that will give me 15/5 and not be broke

sign bosh outright

trade deng and the pick for joe johnson, we are in business

And the 17th pick is cheaper anyways!

We all win!

If the Bulls don’t make the playoffs I won’t need to watch basketball, its on to basketball.

Im confused, becuase everyone was talking about milwaukee getting our pick or something. and do we have a 2nd round pick this year?

i would like to trade down and grab pondexter.

there is something awesome about Pargo, though.
Seriously. It’s kind of awe inspiring: he WILL shoot. He has no conscience. No remorse. He will shoot – the situation, the opponent, the country. He could be in zero gravity floating in orbit. The dude would be jacking up shots. And missing.

If he can play SG that might be our best option

Just looking at who draftexpress says will be available, the SG options are either little dudes who are questionable defenders (Elliot Williams, Eric Bledsoe, Willie Warren), tall guys lacking lateral quickness (Xavier Henry, James Anderson), or extremely raw offensive players (Avery Bradley). Pondexter and Paul George could work, but they project as SF/undersized-PFs.

One name that really sticks out to me as a Bulls-type guy is Solomon Alabi. Great defender, hard worker, character guy, a somewhat finished product already, foreign. I just described half the Bulls acquisitions since 2003.

Eric Bledsoe is a PG.

No way he plays SG in the league. Absolutely no chance.

Thrusting out of the playoff race, one injury at a time.
