Around SBN: Watch Out For Cowboys UDFA Tim Benford

There are still people clamoring to see Jerome James on the court in a Bulls uniform, but I doubt he plays a single minute as a Bull, despite the Bulls need for a big man to soak up some minutes for Noah. HIs teammates have been questioning his desire to play professional basketball even before his big contract... and his nickname is "The Big Snack". The Big Snack has been relegated to locker room DJ - in charge of all things "music". That's what the Bulls $6.6m are getting them this season. Locker room DJ.

There are reports that Jerome James is participating in one on one drills with the Bulls, and that he has vowed to play this season for the Bulls. I would assume he thinks a couple of games of inspired play will dupe some desperate team into signing him to another multiyear contract this summer. Good luck with that. Big Snack. I hope you invested your money well.

LMAO @ the Big Snack

Joakim on whether he ever tried tennis: "I played a little bit. If anybody on the Bulls wanted to play me, I would kick their ass."

He doesn’t seem like he’s very smart… like a small child. A small child that is not very smart, and not a small child in size. You understand.

"Where are the FUCKING TWINKIES?"

Seriously if he wants to play that badly just let him

If all he can do is defensive foul under the hoop WITHOUT it turning into an and-1, he’ll be an improvement

Why aren't they selling Rose's all star jersey?

I do remember

I was I think out in the San Fran area during that playoff run….either that or for some reason watched the Sonics-Spurs series very closely, and Jerome James was a monster in that series….

But he was crap before and should have smelled….

It was crazy he got that huge contract….

Ok Stacey I'm am so sick of hearing the "Hard Hat and Lunch Pail" nickname for Taj. Enough already, wasn't funny the first time, but you now say it 15-20 times per broadcast. It's enough to make me want to hate Taj, when I don't hate Taj.

Wow

I have an even worse opinion of James now than I did before. I didn’t think that was possible.

Isiah has got to be the dumbest basketball exec in history.

Vinny: "[Thrust] means pace, it means getting the ball out, it means getting your back to the sidelines, it means extending your outlets, it means getting the ball up the court into our early offense with plenty of time."

“If I was playing for the money, then it wouldn’t be this outcome,” James said. "Because it would be a selfishly motivated performance. And you would see me not making the right play. You would see me making the same mistakes I made in the past. Because I was selfishly motivated then.

“But it is something special when you actually believe the stuff you say out of your own mouth. This is me now. This team, any other team, this is what they are going to get. Because when you have gone so long looking through scratched-up glasses, and then you take the glasses off, you are like, ‘Oh, OK, now I see.’ There is no way in the world you are going to pick up those dirty glasses and put them back on and walk around thinking that you can see. You know you can’t see.”

WTF?

At the Dallas

game I was wondering when was the last time James played in a game. I checked his stats. He hasn’t played since 2006, and has never played more than 7 regular season games in a year in a 10 year career. When they open a Hall of Fame for bad contracts, James has to be the first inductee.

although

hardly an iron man, james has played 40+ games in 6 straight seasons before his last 2 seasons in NYC in which he played 2 games each. still worthy of Hall of Fame Bad Contract nomination.

"The people we lost, I'm sad we lost them because they helped us. But the organization saw something in these players. They're going to help us. They don't have any attitude problems. They just want to ball." - Derrick Rose
