I'm following the play-by-play

You used the word after, dude.

But if you prefer to show your “fandom” by not cheering good plays, feel free. I think it’s pretty ridiculous. A guy puts a shot up and it’s either going in (points for the Bulls!) or not (no points for the Bulls….) If you think it makes more sense to not be happy for the points because of something that happened previously in the game, more power to you.

the Bulls would’ve beat most teams tonight the way they are playing. They are outrebounded Dallas, didn’t turn it over much and shot well including 7-15 from 3. They just couldn’t stop these guys.

Lebron did actually injure his ankle. He twisted pretty bad. Maybe they are just covering up the injury

by Basketball Smurf on Mar 7, 2010 12:51 PM CST up reply actions

It's possible, I suppose, that Brown would rather lie that he's not injured and sit him anyway

But it seems pretty stupid to me. It at least makes some sense to lie about a guy not being injured if you intend to play him and don’t want the other team to have a heads up. I happen to think the other team would have a pretty good idea anyway.

But the quote I saw from Brown flat out said he wasn’t injured, wanted to play, and that Brown decided he should sit because of the “big minutes” he’s been playing. He could have easily just said the ankle was a little sore and they were being cautious with it.

His TS% is 12th on the team, and his 3% is only 5th. The only thing he’s shot well is free throws, but since he’s only 11th in FTA per minute played that doesn’t help much.

What he has done is attempt more shots than anyone else but Derrick – although I think with tonight’s saftey-off performance he may have passed Derrick too.

Some criticized Vinny for not playing Johnson more. This is blatently unfair. The poor man suffers from a rare disease called SIS

Same Initial Syndrome.

Whenever he puts in a player with the same first and last initials he begins to experience chest pains and breaks out into a cold sweat which affects his ability to make rational decisions. He really had nothing against Tyrus as a person or a player. He just feared for his personal safety and survival when TT was on the court. That’s why he yanked him at every opportunity, regardless of how he was performing. Give the guy a break.

As Vinny said. Pargo is one of our best shooters. The reason he made such an outlandish claim is that right after he inserted him and called a timeout, Johnson got too close to the huddle and Vinny’s cirucuits went haywire again. Once they recharged it was too late to recover. During that terrifying interlude, Vinny was in a complete blackout and thought he was cruising in the Carribean with Magic Johnson which he had mistaken Pargo for, since both are about the same height, and play similar games, emphasizing team ball over just gunning away without purpose.

If you can't answer a man's arguments, all is not lost. You can still call him vile names.

Uh ...

Go Rockets/Nets[CDR]/Bucks[Jennings]!

I guess noone was ready for Noah to go down like he did

Losing him, Salmons, and Tyrus all at once is a huge thing to deal with, height wise.

Ya think?

Actually you’re dead on as evidenced by the Mav’s front line scoring 80 points while their rookie guard dropped 24. Sadly this came on a day that Rose was on fire and the Bulls scored 116 points which would have been good enough to win all but 3 prior games this season.

Everyone is freaking out over nothing. We are going through a tough stretch of games. You really expected us to beat Dallas? They may be just as good as the Lakers. Have you seen our April schedule? We have will control our own destiny playing Charlotte, Milwaukee, and Miami this month. As long as we beat those guys, we will be fine. I seriously doubt we will miss the playoffs. Looks like Miami is going to be the odd man out this year. I think Milwaukee and Charlotte are decent teams. Miami only wins because of Wade and he can’t carry them by himself every single game. Everyone relax! Things are going to get better!

Wade cant carry the Heat every game, but Rose can carry the Bulls?

If it comes down to how many games Wade and Rose can win in spite of their teams, Wade has an easier schedule

Why aren't they selling Rose's all star jersey?

Did I mention we do not have a healthy Noah? He is the heart and soul of this team besides Rose.

by Tucson_AZ_Bulls_Fan on Mar 6, 2010 10:23 PM CST reply actions

Well, the Bulls have to make the playoff’s first, so they may in trouble either way.

by k21c on Mar 7, 2010 8:44 AM CST up reply actions

Since the trades the bulls have given up over 8 ppg than prior to them.

How much of this can be attributed to Noah’s absence? I’m guessing a big chunk. If he comes back relatively healthy and rested for the playoff push, with all his pent up energy, the Bulls may surge to a strong finish and who knows what happens after that, especially with Derrick getting back on the national stage. Am i dreaming, maybe, but I hope not.

My guess is a lot

Noah provides the team’s best rebounding is a good enough defender. His tip outs and tip ins help the team a lot. Noah is probably the second best player on the team. We probably would have lost tonight with a healthy Noah in the lineup, but we probably wouldn’t be on a 4 game losing streak.

by Stay Chisel on Mar 7, 2010 12:43 AM CST up reply actions

I agree. They need

Noah back sooner than later but his injury is one that can’t be rushed to heal. I can only imagine how he must feel by not being able to play. It has to be killing him inside. Like you said he will have a burst of energy that this team will need.

OK I don't know shit about basketball.

I am still dumbfounded

One lineup tonight that Vinny used played like it could win tonight, and that was Richard/Gibson/Johnson/Hinrich/Rose. So please, explain to me why that lineup never re-entered the game after the early 2nd quarter.

Why aren't they selling Rose's all star jersey?

Because he would be blasted for taking out Luol Deng

I would like to make a comment that Luol is not going to make it here. I feel he doesn’t show up when we really need him. But Vinny can’t take him out becuase he will get blasted for sitting the highest paid player on our team and now alowing him to work through is lack of ability to dribble the ball :)
