Player B is 4-12 from the field, with 16 points, 8 rebounds, 6 assists, 2 steals and 2 blocks.

Player A is James Johnson. Player B is LeBron James.

7 ast do not indicate running the offense

He’s over dribbling and not getting the ball to the open man or setting up the offense

by Dils on Mar 19, 2010 9:20 PM CDT up reply actions

With a team shooting under 40%

I seem to recall hearing something about all these crappy shooters being to blame for Derrick’s low assist totals…

by wjb1492 on Mar 19, 2010 9:22 PM CDT up reply actions

Ok forget the ast

Is Kirk playing the PG position well tonight? No. JJ did a better job of that tonight then Hinrich. Then he doesn’t hit open shots on top of that. I would’ve rather seen Law

by Dils on Mar 19, 2010 9:24 PM CDT up reply actions

No, no one had a good game besides Taj, JJ was decent.

This team sucks, but you act like everything hinges on Kirk. He’s taking the shots that the teams’ two best players would normally do.

by Ozzie Montana on Mar 19, 2010 9:27 PM CDT up reply actions

You're the one defending him not me

I said I would of rather seen Law at PG. When Kirk has 10 pts in 40 mins and is 0-7 from 3pt land, I think my points are nuanced enough. I’m talking about Kirk tonight. No one else.

by Dils on Mar 19, 2010 9:28 PM CDT up reply actions

No it would mean that

I would rather see Law playing PG considering that Hinrich isn’t playing well. My original comment has nothing to do with garbage players. it has to do with Mr. Untouchable.

by Dils on Mar 19, 2010 9:31 PM CDT up reply actions

Two guards play at the same time.

I’d rather have Law at SG since his best apparent talent is getting to the hoop and scoring. You can’t run an offense when your best weapon is Taj Gibson.

by Ozzie Montana on Mar 19, 2010 9:34 PM CDT up reply actions

Well that we can

agree on. I wouldn’t mind seeing Law maybe play some 2 when Rose gets back because we need scoring and he only played 10 mins tonight. I just wouldn’t mind him playing more at either position.

by Dils on Mar 19, 2010 9:36 PM CDT up reply actions

Acie hasn't been great as a PG

He’s been shooting great. Why not look for him to play SG where he only has to worry about setting himself up?

by wjb1492 on Mar 19, 2010 9:30 PM CDT up reply actions

He didn't shoot well in the second half.

Other than that, I think he was alright. He had a hand in several of those LBJ TOs. I also would like to see Acie get more time, but it’s not Kirk’s PT I have a problem with.

by wjb1492 on Mar 19, 2010 9:27 PM CDT up reply actions

since when

should 3 or 4 horrible looking three with next to no chance of going in not count as turnovers?

"I want people to fear me"- Derrick Rose.

by Cosmis on Mar 19, 2010 9:26 PM CDT up reply actions

Since they don't

That all gets covered in the shooting like crap part. You don’t get to double count it to make it sound like he did everything wrong tonight.

by wjb1492 on Mar 19, 2010 9:29 PM CDT up reply actions

he didn't play too badly

but it all comes back to the fact that he’s supposedly the “veteran leadership” on the team. This little stretch here should prove, once and for all, that Kirk is not someone a successful franchise can be built on.

"I want people to fear me"- Derrick Rose.

by Cosmis on Mar 19, 2010 10:01 PM CDT up reply actions

How many years has it been since anyone thought the Bulls should be "built on" Kirk?

Even back when this was the up-and-coming team it was looked at as a Pistons-type model sum is greater than the parts.

by MPG on Mar 19, 2010 9:33 PM CDT up reply actions

I hope the Bulls don't do something stupid like signing Wade next year or letting Vinny go.

We don’t need a Rose/Wade backcourt next season when we have 2 veterans who each made 5 of 17 tonight. Flip showed what a clutch player he was by drowing that 3 as time expired.
The Bulls might have won if they went with a 3 guard offense in the 4th quaarter with Pargo, Hinrich and Murray. But than, maybe not.

If you can't answer a man's arguments, all is not lost. You can still call him vile names.

The Bulls reserves have played very well and kept the games close against superior teams lately.

Well, some of the reserves played very well and JJ looks like the Bulls may have made the right choice, picking him at 16. It’s amazing what actually getting some playing time can do to your confidence and learning curve.

LAST YEAR FOR HINRICH

I sick and tired of kirk hinrich, he sucks, doesn’t get to the freethrow line, stays on the top of the key and shoots 3 pointers all game(0-7) and is the most overpaid starting point guard or guard in the nba. This better be his last year with the bulls and i still don’t understand why the bulls management didn’t trade him or couldn’t trade him for the 2 time in 2 years, the bulls could of had more to spend on next year freeagency or trade him for a good shooting guard. You trying to tell me that the bulls couldn’t trade him to lakers, portland, or boston for a player that contract would expire this year, bullshit. Stop playing favorites and let the bum go, he reach his potential and let rose assume his role as the real captain to this team

by Jermal on Mar 19, 2010 10:19 PM CDT reply actions

If they use Hinrich in a sign and trade

or in a straight player deal (and perhaps send up to $3million because he’s overpaid) and take back more salary than they send, IT’S THE SAME THING AS HAVING TRADED HIM BEFORE.

They can do this because they have cap space.
