"It was a dirty play," Gibson said. "Dwyane and a couple other guys undercut me. I was just [mad] because the referee saw it, and he just asked me, 'Are you OK?' I was like, 'Am I OK?' I was just [angry]."

Players like that need to be put on their ass
Pickup games were always great for that. If a guy kept fouling, but refused to admit it he got put face down on the pavement, hard. Find the strongest, biggest guy you can and keep him on the bench for these situations…where’s Gray when you need him?!

Let NHL teams waste money on goons, the NBA's perfectly entertaining the way it is.
And if you’re going to hire someone just to sit on the bench and be a goon, why make it a soft boy like Aaron Gray. May as well just bring back Charles Oakley to fill the Adrian Griffin/Lindsey Hunter “useless vet who’s essentially an assistant coach” roster spot.
It will be found an unjust and unwise jealousy to deprive a man of his natural liberty upon the supposition he may abuse it.

Guys like
Lambier, Oakley, Mason were skilled goons

And they helped make the NBA nearly unwatchable for a decade

True, but I
did enjoy the Archrivals style of basketball.

“That was the dirtiest play I’ve ever seen in my 30 plus years playing basketball,” Gibson said.
