It's funny to me that we see this as a good thing...

Toronto has lost a bunch lately. That means coming to Chicago is inevitable!

Chicago has lost seven in a row.

Errr????

In the past 10 years, just four team owners have not paid a luxury tax and are not on pace to pay one this year: Donald Sterling, Jerry Reinsdorf, Chris Cohen (Golden State), Bob Johnson (Charlotte).

Two owners’ teams averaged an operating income of over +$10 million per year while their teams have lost over 60% of their games: Donald Sterling and Jerry Reinsdorf.

I agree with you dakoose. Although we stink now because of injuries and trades

Chicago has a much brighter future than Toronto. Both Rose and Bosh would thrive here with Luol being a 3rd option which is ideal for him. Noah loves winning and Bosh would make the Bulls an instant winner. After all the smoke clears away, there is probably a talented veteran guard with some miles left who would be glad to come to Chicago for a little less money in order to play with a winner (no rookies please). Management would have no choice but to bring in a qualified NBA coach. The Bulls could kick Vinny upstairs as long as they have to pay him.

I was initially rooting for D Wade but with all the wear and tear on his body, I think a younger, healthier Bosh would be a more viable addition for the future. If Toronto tanks and falls out of the playoffs this would be icing on the cake for Rose and company. My new motto is “Down go the Raptors, Up go the Bulls, 2010 Here we come.”

If you can't answer a man's arguments, all is not lost. You can still call him vile names.

Except players also know that Reinsdorf has publicly he said he's not paying the luxury tax until he has a contender.

What if they get Bosh, Noah has a big year, yet, by some fluke, they don’t make it past the first round next year? Reinsdorf is ponying up for Noah. Will he give Rose a max contract if his defense is still suspect? Players know these things.

It'll take a real fluke for a Rose/Deng/Bosh/Noah

team to not make it out of the first round next year, no? I think the odds of that are slim. Rose and Noah will be better next year, and Deng will be very effective as a third option. I think it’s safe to assume that we become a contendor, especially if JJ leaves the Hawks.

Metal sharpens metal.

And this guy right here understands and knows what leadership is all about: The coach, the hall of famer......... Dick Butka! George Ryan

The Bulls shrink like a dick in cold water.

It would.

But injuries happen. I’m just saying it’s possible.

I don't think there's any doubt that Rose gets an extension

Assuming that he doesn’t pull a Marbury and go psychotic (not to mention, starting to suck at basketball), that’s a foregone conclusion. Rose is just too good and too popular to not resign. The hometown feel-good part of it makes him incredibly marketable, and letting him go would be a terrible financial decision, meaning Reinsdorf will pay him. Not to mention, Rose might give a hometown discount to stay in Chicago, particularly if we add Bosh and start winning.

Noah’s the one I’d be worried about. Because of his injuries, I could see Reinsdorf being unwilling to give him a big extension.

Brad Miller is god.

THIS IS AWESOME

I heard him being negative in a postive win streak way in the All Star press talks (saying we’ve won like 8 of 10 or whatever it was then) and nobody watches….or cares.

I hope his friendship with Wade doesn’t make him go to Miami first).
