Things to feel good about..
We're in the middle of a losing streak. Our roster is awful. We've seen better days so instead of complaining about what blows, let's talk about what's good.
1. We don't have the ghost of Elton Brand on contract for the next 4 years.
2. We are not Wizard's fans.
3. Next year can't be any worse....right?
4. We are more than halfway through Kirk's contract.
5. Del Negro's next game is closer to his last game than his first.
6. No matter what Rose is on contract to be a Bull for the next two seasons.
7. Only 19 more games left in the Jerome James/ B-52/ Hakim Warrick/ Acie Law IV/ Pargo/ Devin Brown era.
8. Tyrus has only averaged 7 and 5 in his last 3 games.
9. We didn't draft Michael Beasley
10. Benny the Bull has stayed out the headlines for almost a year now.
The idea of this post was for others to continue with their good thoughts...stay positive.

toronto got blown out last night
by sacremento. And as far as I know they have a decently tough schedule to close out the season as well. We are still going to lose alot more games coming up, but if we can squeeze out one or 2, and then noah comes back, we might still have a chance going into the last 10 games. IM TRYING TO STAY POSITIVE…
with these losses
i don’t have to be mad that most of the people at the UC are there for free big macs.
I'm cuckoo for Kukoc!!!

We avoided Detroit’s angst by not signing Ben Gordon. The following article from NBA Fanhouse highlights what we avoided.
You can’t say this team is rebuilding. It used gobs of salary-cap room last summer on ill-fated signees Ben Gordon and Charlie Villanueva when the Pistons could have waited until the big free-agency summer of 2010 to try to lure a real big-time player (Chris Bosh?).
The money cleared by the Billups trade resulted in Gordon, a guard last with Chicago, getting a five-year, $58 million deal and Villanueva, a forward last with Milwaukee, a five-year, $35 million payday. But Gordon’s scoring average has dropped from 20.7 last season to 13.7 and Villanueva’s has fallen from 16.2 to 12.3.
Not only that, neither is a typical Piston. It’s no wonder Billups and Darvin Ham, a forward on the 2004 and 2005 Finals teams who is now retired, both see a Detroit team that has lost its gritty edge.
the bottom line is Gordon and Villanueva are soft. When asked if the two aren’t typical gritty Detroit players, Nuggets coach George Karl said, "I would see that. I can say that.‘’ Ham, now an assistant for the D-League’s Albuquerque Thunder, agreed the shoot-first mentality of the two doesn’t fit in the traditional Pistons’ style, saying, "I totally think so.’’
As for the reinforcements, Gordon and Villanueva, have not come close to delivering and having center Kwame Brown doesn’t help anybody’s blue-collar image.
Perhaps they can trade BG back to the Bulls for Captain "Klank" Hinrick
That should make Detroit tougher and better? Right??
Kirk
is officially on my milkbox carton, he goes missing when the Bulls need him the most

Okay, I get being "happy" that Thomas is doing well.
I don’t get being happy that he’s doing poorly when his new team is winning, has passed the Bulls in the standings, he’s playing the vast majority of fourth quarters (one in which they came from behind), AND HIS TEAM IS WINNING AND IS A PLAYOFF RIVAL.
In the past 10 years, just four team owners have not paid a luxury tax and are not on pace to pay one this year: Donald Sterling, Jerry Reinsdorf, Chris Cohen (Golden State), Bob Johnson (Charlotte).
Two owners’ teams averaged an operating income of over +$10 million per year while their teams have lost over 60% of their games: Donald Sterling and Jerry Reinsdorf.
And yet you responded?
“I don’t care so much that I’m going to tell you how much I care. I could care less!!!”*
*then do it

But I still could care less and I write that just so you know people are tiring of hearing you babel about it.

Ooops
I forgot the cool little stars at the end of each statement for emphasis. LOL… I guess you got that covered.

Really?

I repeat I do care less. Go ahead everyone here knows you always like to get in the last word. So go ahead.. But know, I can care less.

I'm confused about how much you care.
Perhaps you could write up a fanpost?

Ahhhh!!! Maybe that's the point.
If so, excellent work.

Nice post
But hey for next year who knows, the Wizards might not be too bad.
They have enough to spend on a max player (presuming they release Josh Howard—which is likely) and they can make a QO on Foye as a reserve PG.
They have Gilbert coming back and I’m sure he’ll be humbled by being a dumbass.
And they have a nice looking inside core with the very good Andray Blatche and the improving McGee…..
This year, I’m not sure it’s really any better right now to be a Wizards fan than it is a Bulls fan at the present state….
Hell I almost want us to just force some Joe Alexander time tonight to see what we got.
I mean we’re gonna lose anyway without Deng, Noah, and likely Gibson….
I’d play a very small athletic crop and make it a see what we have if anything since we’re too small and will lose:
Rose-Hinrich-Alexander-JJ-Miller as the starting 5, with Warrick getting 25 minutes and Flip and I guess gulp Pargo filling the rest of the time….
I mean we’ll lose 135-95, but hey if we see something in Alexander that’s fine.
7/1/2010: D. Wade comes back home
Yea
I agree with you here we are losing anyway put the youngster Alexander in and see what he can bring at this point we don’t have much to lose. One thing that really pisses me of is when Pargo gets minutes. For the life of me I can not understand why Pargo would be anywhere but the bench.
Oakdale, thanks for the positive point of view post it is a breath of fresh air on this site!
The Dude Abides
It's pretty clear that Alexander can't bring anything at this point...
I don’t get why people keep wanting to see him.
Brad Miller is god.

Why not
He’s what just barely 23….
We haev nothing to lose and well we did trade Salmons (a decent player to a rival) for Warrick who that rival wasn’t using and was 2 months out the door and Alexander….I mean what is there to lose when we’re already losing.
7/1/2010: D. Wade comes back home
Because all reports indicate that the guy is useless as an NBA basketball player
And from what I’ve seen, I agree. I can’t argue with giving him minutes in garbage time, but I wouldn’t put him in until it’s abundantly clear that the game’s over.
Brad Miller is god.
Um
Bringing only 1 legit starter on 100% of the team’s in this league (Derrick Rose)
With 1 guy who would start on probably 40-50% Hinrich
And 1 guy who would start on probably 20% if that Miller (good bench player)
And then having the rest have no real shot at starting anywhere:
Warrick, Murray, James Johnson, Pargo, Joe Alexander, Devin Brown, Acie Law, Chris Richard
And having our #2 (Deng) and maybe #2 (Noah) and #5 (Gibson) out….
We’ve got less talent currently than the lowly Nets (for those ready to suit up)….
And we’re playing a top 1-4 team…on the road.
Games already over.
Maybe playing a few lottery guys (Alexander and Johnson more) we can find something we like….
7/1/2010: D. Wade comes back home
That's a nice idea in principle
But trust me, you’re not gonna find something you like in Joe Alexander. He’s just not good at basketball. I’m all for giving James Johnson and Chris Richard extended playing time to see what they could do with 30+ minutes, because those guys might have a future in the league. But Alexander doesn’t.
Brad Miller is god.
That's an insult to Tyrus Thomas.
He’s more like a poor mans white Ronald Dupree

Ha ha
Rec’d for trying to look on the bright side. Some of the points actually made me laugh especially 5, 7, and 9.
Joakim on whether he ever tried tennis: "I played a little bit. If anybody on the Bulls wanted to play me, I would kick their ass."
Be happy Milwaukee's ability to switch 1st round picks with the Bulls is Top-10 protected...
….UNLIKE Utah owning the Knicks 2010 1st-round draft pick outright, unprotected, which is baggage from an Isaiah Thomas trade WAY BACK in 2004. I completely forgot about it…it’s crazy:
http://www.sltrib.com/monson/ci_12667010
The Jazz acquired the pick at the February 2004 trade deadline but will have to wait six years to cash it in.
Thomas originally traded the pick to Phoenix as part of the Stephon Marbury deal. The Jazz obtained it as the Suns made a luxury-tax saving deal, trading Tom Gugliotta plus two first-round picks to the Jazz for Ben Handlogten and Keon Clark.
The pick was protected into the mid-20s originally — including Nos. 1-22 this year — but was left unprotected in 2010

The Jazz been
screwing over teams for years, Gogs and 2 1st round picks for Ben Handlogten(who the hell is he?) and Keon Clark(one of the oldest looking 20 somethings to every be drafted, I thought he was 34 when he was drafted)

A part of me hopes teh Bulls don't make the playoffs
I kinda want to watch a Lebron VS Wade playoff series. “Amazing” would certainly happen in this series…
As for things to be happy about… the season ain’t over yet. Personally I believe one should never give up even if there’s no chance… why? Because in the game of “life” we really have nothing to lose…
I guess another thing to be grateful for is that Derrick Rose is not out for a significant amount of time. He could of seriously injured his wrist and back… but it didn’t happen. Luck was on the side of all Bulls fans on this occasion. Imagine if Derrick had been out for the rest of the season. All hope would be lost.
But as long as Derrick Rose is around to help our team win… there is hope. And when theres hope, there is a chance. Even if the chances are small, the very fact that there is a “chance” means that there is a probability of the Bulls making it into the playoffs. When something is “probable” that usually means that it isn’t impossible.
I hate that
I just spent 30 reading that… Jesus that was stupid. “We are all dumber for having listened to you. I award you zero points, and may God have mercy on your soul.”
