Wow

A fast break against a “set” defense by two players? Oh my.

"Where are the FUCKING TWINKIES?"

by Dash2112 on Mar 1, 2010 9:02 PM CST reply actions

So JJ couldn't find his way back on the court

even though he proved he can play some defense??

by Dils on Mar 1, 2010 9:02 PM CST reply actions

This is why I have no confidence he will be able to develop

here. With Deng out, if he can’t find minutes for JJ against an athletic team like this when he so obviously could be utilized, then I don’t see when he will.

This one's over. They got it to 6 points, but they just can't get enough rebounds / stops.

We hear the talk about his fit, intangibles, ‘glue guy’, ‘thrust’, and any other ways you can put lipstick on a sub-40% shooting pig, but it’s become increasingly clear that it can’t be just propaganda when the moves they make (or don’t) say that they believe their own hype.

Vinny is a true humanitarian. Whichever PF is performing better will get less minutes

because he has a soft spot for the underdog. Or maybe he’s just enthralled with Warrick’s lock down defense.

He had been shooting better since being named a starter, but he was hardly lighting the world

I want to semi defend Captain Klank who everyone is dumping on.

Apparently some are upset with his less than sterling performances in his last 2 games where he made 2 of 15 shots (.133) including 0 for 8 from the arc. In the 2 games prior to his current funk he hit 13 of 19 (.684).

If you want to point any fingers, aim them up in the Riensdork suite, because even with his season average falling to .396. it still ranks him, unbleiievably as our 2nd best shooter at the guard position.

Jannero Pargo .341. No wonder his minutes are increasing. Vinny apparently is a fan of instant suckage.

Devin Brown .378 but only .162 since joining the Bulls…does anyone slightly miss the White Panther yet, besides myself? This is eve worse than
Lindsey Hunter .167 Why was he inactive tonight? They could have used his firepower off the depleted bench.

Flip Murray .390 Actually he made a couple of nice drives if you ignore his Ben Gordonesque move dribbling the ball off his leg on a breakaway.

And lastly Acie Law who has shot an amazing 1.000 since joining the Bulls, although he has taken only one shot so maybe it’s too early to jump to conclusions. However his season average is 50% (16-32) and his lifetime .398 trails Kirk’s .414 and no one could seriously argue that Hinrich isn’t the best defender of this sorry bunch.

In conclusion, Vinny who so seldom is right, is right on starting Kurt because management has left him with a big bag of excrement to choose from. By the way, whatever happened to John Salmons, Ben Gordon, Shannon Brown, J R Smith, and what’s that other dude’s name? Oh now I remember, he had an attitude problem and the Bulls hate players with attitudes, yes that Jamal Crawford.

95% of those players won’t even be in the NBA next season. I turned it off it 7:30 left in the 4th. This team outside of Rose and Noah is hot garbage. The best thing that could happen to the Bulls is get the Celtics in the playoffs. They need to sign Richards or else I just might stop watching until Noah gets back.

I just wanna say after the Pistons series in 06 I was screaming about Kirk and Deng being mentally weak turds.

When everyone was saying that the Bulls were up and coming and they were facing the Pistons that season they absolutely shit their pants that series. The first two game they just embarrassed the city of Chicago. Yet people still loved them. I don’t get it. I get banned for it. Everyone loved Kirk Hinirch. Yet here we are. Kirk is getting to be an old man and he’s still a Chicago Bulls. If you would have told me in 2006 that Hinrich and Deng would be here over Tyrus and Gordon I would have not believed that. Depressing.

by SoulEater7 on Mar 1, 2010 9:53 PM CST reply actions

Thats how I felt too

they got punked in that series. I think Deng has shown, so far this year, that he is ready to step up but Kirk has never recovered. He used to really step up in the other series before that year. They have held onto him too long and would be lucky to get a pick for him at this point.

Oh

The Miami Heat series. Luol Deng’s ‘’ breakout season’’ and who was guarding him? Old Antwan Walker? Or James Posey? You really know who is who when the shit hits the fan. Look at Derrick in game 1 against Rondo. Noah played well that series. They didn’t back down. To me what sets those players apart from Deng and Hinirch is that they don’t fear the big moment. Do they have decent game? yes. But when it matters the most what happens to Kirk and Deng?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7fWqBgZtwjw

Watch Deng at the free throw line when it matters. He can be rattled. Of course he always takes over in the 4th.

The Bulls have 2 glaring weak points

1: inability to defend in the paint
2: inability to shoot 3s

Why aren't they selling Rose's all star jersey?

by hongydraw on Mar 1, 2010 10:47 PM CST reply actions

Absolutely....its predicated on having guys stand around (primarily on the perimeter)

When teams collapse to the paint to protect against Derrick’s drives, the open man(s) is usually someone in position for a long 2 and more times than not…..the result is a loud clank.
