For a few games, VDN went away from the 3 guard lineup with Deng at the 4,
And I enjoyed watching those games.
He also has a very overrated offensive game.

how far deng and hinrich’s shooting % drops in the final three minutes or so of close games. neither of those guys is clutch. we need a #2.

When tyrus is in
note how hesitant (or as my brother would say, scared) the other team becomes when going for layups or inside shots…VERY!!! thomas may do dumb things on offense, but defensively…..
in a game where noah is hurting, as it taj, maybe ure best bet was to put thomas in ESPECIALLY AT THE END OF THE GAME ON THE DEFENSIVE END!!!!! the 76ers are notorious for taking the game to the hole, put tyrus in and you can have other guys roam out alot more, (not to mention thomas is quick and fast enough to go out at guys)…i get the organization doesnt like or want thomas…but hes there right now…PLAY HIM TO WIN DAMMIT!!!

That really was pretty dumb not having him in there
The OT lineup took the cake. VDN essentially sacrificed rebounding for offense, when the only offense down the stretch was Rose.
Since he was going to be the offense in OT, why not put a defensive lineup in the game to get stops and offensive boards? This was the first game in a while where Rose consistently went to the basket down the stretch, which is the best time to get O-rebounds as the defenders collapse to contest him.

I love the restrictions on Tyrus's game
but no one elses. I’d love my center to not take the ball off the dribble. I’d love Salmons to stop holding on to the ball. I’d like Hinrich to stop dribbling so much. I’d like Taj to hold on to the ball. Why are they getting their minutes?

Which he hasn’t done consistenly for 4 years. And for your question. What else do we have? TT should get more minutes but still he has been inconsistent for 4 years (as is the team) there are times when he looked like a REAL ball player and times when he looks like a straight up idiot (on offense) I can blame him and the coaching on that. I never blame him for losing. I’m just sick of him teasing his potential to the point that I dont care about him anymore.
I was defending him for YEARS from everyone who has hated on him. Kept saying (he will be awesome he will be a great player he can be the next Shawn Kemp) but now after 4 years he is what he is, an energy player who is inconsistent on offense and a good shot blocker, If he can’t play here he needs to be traded somewhere. For some team that can use him for someone we can use.

We accepted the fact a long time ago that Hinrich is a defesive stopper and a adequate combo guard. There was time people were comparing his game to Steve Nash. We accepted who he is and maximize the positives.
Tyrus is a shot blocker and deterrent in the paint. Let’s just accept that and maximize those positives on a nightly basis. So when he has it going like tonight why in the hell is Vinnie playing him for 12 minutes. I’m tired of the same excuses for why he doesn’t play normal consistent minutes while everyone can screw up on this team.
