Sometimes I forget how incredible Jordan really was. Michael Jordan is ultimately the greatest player I have ever seen because of his consistent level of greatness.
I just got done reading the ESPN recap of the Oklahoma City/Atlanta game. Kevin Durant goes off AGAIN (If he stays healthy, Kevin Durant may make a run at Abdul-Jabbar's scoring record)!!! But then I get to a spot that mentions that Durant is the first player since Allen Iverson NINE seasons ago to score 25+ pts in 22 consecutive games. Out of curiousity I went and glanced over a Jordan career game log. Jordan scored 25+ pts in 22 consecutive games in AT LEAST 3 different seasons and he scored 20+ pts in at least 22 consecutive games in 10 of his 11 full seasons as a Chicago Bull (In some cases he accomplished this feat more than once in the same season). In the 87' - 88' season, Jordan scored 20+ pts in 56 consecutive games and 25+ in 40 of those games!!! That's an example of the consistent greatness I speak of.
My guess is that Durant will do this quite a few more times though. How would he look in a Bulls uniform in a few years????
