Stacey and Neil are JOCKING Murray and Warrick
How long will the honeymoon last?!
so far
i like the trades the bulls made, how many dumbs shots has the new acquisitions made so fare from what i can see is none. Dont get me wrong i liked t..t but he has no bball iq what soever. Hopefully we can keep this lead and come out 3-0 after the break
i think larry brown disagrees
tt played 25 minutes tonight… larry brown took nazr minutes and gave them to tyurs.. if he was so bad would a hall of famer do this…. FUCK vinny and the org for this one
thomas cant even outplay a rookie
come on t.t been in the league for 3 years now and he lost his job to a rookie, just wait his minutes will diminish in cha. also congrats to kirk for passing ben gordon for most 3 pts made.
Yeah it only took Hinrich 2 more years to get it but
yeah congrats

Yes
I mean he’s earned it but gotta keep it in perspective. He broke a guy’s record who’s got less time in the league and in that uniform than him

Here we go with no BBIQ thing. Yeh cause Warrick and Murray are the rocket scientists of basketball. Tyrus>Warrick easily. But he’s not a Bull so I’m not gonna go that route
I just wanna say I’m lovin the fact Air Force One has 8 rebounds tonight. We need more of that.

Well, Tyrus wasnt a horrible player, he just wasnt consistent enough for the Bulls to commit to him
I will miss him but I will get over it this summer really fast.

The only major inconsistent thing about Tyrus was his minutes.
"You know what Neil, stop being such a sourpuss." - Stacey King
Naw his play was inconsistent.
He’d play really well then do really dumb shit and think he was a fuckn all-star. Case in point: Game 1 vs Boston, 4th quarter, he took the ball instead of giving it to a guard, got fouled, then missed the FTs.
by Playboy_BullV on Feb 19, 2010 9:28 PM CST up reply actions
wtf? he basically won that game though.
"Oooohhh, cat in the wall, eh? Now you're talkin' my language."
can we please put this tyrus talk to a rest
he is a dumb player, plain and simple hence why he never got mintues this year.

Looks like the Cavs trade did not start out well
Jamison was 0-12 from the field! Ouch. Also, TT had a nice game though, as did Salmons, and all the teams involved with the trade won today.
Jamison must have the worst debut of a former All star that got traded.

if someone could describe how the new guys looked and how derrick looked id be grateful since i missed the game.
"Oooohhh, cat in the wall, eh? Now you're talkin' my language."
Eh, we're definitely worse.
Flip started out sucking but had some moments in the second half.
Warrick is basically a slightly more disciplined Tyrus on the offensive side, but nowhere near him on D.
Nothing from Law or Vanilla Sky.

He mixed up pretty well
Flynn stayed in front, forced some tough shots,
He seemed a bit slower, maybe he was on Cruise control after the 2 games vs NY
"What are you doing Dragic?!"
sweeet
10 points 9 rebounds for Warrick,not bad.
how does a deep team like ORL get 6 pts off the bench? they should have traded for fish.

i dont know, i didnt see the game. im just astounded that all those bench guys combined for 6 points.
"Oooohhh, cat in the wall, eh? Now you're talkin' my language."
is that really surprising? that was pretty typical even before the bulls dealt a 38% 3pt shooter and got no one to replace him. which im cool with by the way.

boo lionel hollins! why couldnt you play more than 5 guys in a double overtime game?

we dont need those 9pts 12 reb and 6 blks from Tyrus anyway!

by the way, if anyone is still here, was this game as ugly as it looks from the boxscore?
"Oooohhh, cat in the wall, eh? Now you're talkin' my language."
Like Freddie Kruger, my Tyrusmancrush refuses to die. I am reposting comments I made earlier during the game.
As you know, the Bobcats crushed the Cavs tonight. The announcers kept gushing about you know who, commenting what a great defender he is and how he plays above the rim and what a difference maker he was. They also said it’s just a matter of time before he’ll be a starter. I believe when Vinny was asked when TT could start, he mumbled something about when hell freezes over. If they had only talked to Vinny, he could straighten them out about their twisted thinking. He put the clamps on LeBron and had 6 blocks, 12 boards, 2 assists & 9 points off the bench in 25 minutes without a single practice walkthrough.
Sporting his new headband along with an ear to ear grin, he was interviewed after the game (announcers said his play energized the team…it’s what vdn would call thrust). When asked how tough it was to play for the most demanding coach in the league, Tyrus said just like Ty did with Vinny, "we have great coaches". I liked it when he got on me for my mistakes, because then he told me what to do to correct them. Surely that wasn’t intended as a dig to our group of keystone cops.
I think Tyrus also enjoyed the standing ovation he received from the electrified fans who were appreciating his acrobatics.
Larry B had no problem putting Tyrus in at crunch time, apparently to tighten up the defense and put the nail in the Cav’s coffin. 6 blocks and altering a lot of shots while playing solid help defense will do that to an offense. How dumb was that putting a dufus like Thomas in for most of the 4th quarter and allowing him to close out the game. Larry Brown needs to get more experience under his belt so he won’t make that mistake again.
Seriously, its pathetic our coach was too blind to realize that defense wins games and never trusted Tyrus. Oh I forgot, Tyrus was always out of position and lost his man unlike the rest of the great Bull defenders. Moron! Jamison went 0 for 12 in his debut.

Anywho
good for your man crush and good for Ty. Can’t wait til April and til MJ is full owner of that team.
Is it possible Tyrus has already learned more in one game than he did in 2 seasons under
Vinny and Bo&l*n? Think what a real coach could teach D Rose and Noah.

Is it possible that this is only one game?
Just wait until you pass judgement. Wait till he does this consistently then harp his glory. He is good but just wait. (which i know you wont)
I've already waited an eternity to see him get a fair shake
My patience has worn much too thin to wait any longer. If he flops again in his next game, I’ll just apply Lenin’s maxim on how communism could eventually take over the world. One step backwards, two steps forward….until the goal is reached.
No I’m not suggesting Tyrus should become a communist.

My head is also spinning...
from all your spinning.
Typically, you cherry-pick stats in an effort to make TT look better, forgetting in this case to mention the 3 for 9 shooting and two turnovers. Also, it is obvious that the previous night’s epic Cleveland Denver game sapped both teams, as they both lost to inferior opponents yesterday.
I do agree than Brown is a far superior coach to VDN, and he probably will develop TT further. But the trade was obviously the right move for the bulls, and TT has a long. long way to go before fulfilling the promise that you continue – tediously – to salivate over.

"Typically, you cherry-pick stats in an effort to make TT look better"
He is sounding like ESPN guys. Hypes that he played well but doesn’t mention the mistakes that much and that Cleveland was in a back to game game in overtime against the Nuggets. TT is good but I don’t think that he would ever a superstar, just a good player, but 6 blocks is nasty.
Not the point, of course...
it’s about the absurd overreaction to a single game. “The Bobcats crushed the Cavs last night…”, etc.
Does anyone in this universe believe that the result was an accurate reflection of the two teams relative merit?
Sheesh.
by badnewsintennisshoes on Feb 20, 2010 10:05 AM CST up reply actions
Lets just say.
The games we and the bobcats played last night was a perfect time to use our new toys. We went up against the Wolves and they went up against a tired Cavs team (who already can’t beat the bobcats anyway for some strange reason)

So far it appears the "ORG" made the right decision - - regarding Gordon
After extensive BaB posts regarding how stupid the Bulls org was not resigning Ben Gordon I want to report some more outcome data from last night’s game
B. Gordon 19:55 min, 1-6, 0-2 3-PT, 2-2 FT, – 12 +/-, 1 Reb, 0 assists, 1 TO, 0 steals, 0 blocks, 4 points
also from the SBNation Detroit Bad Boys Blog
The Bad:It is hard to imagine the Bulls not being better after this summer as a result of not mortgaging our future with Gordon’s contract.
Ben Gordon and Charlie Villanueva managed six points on 2-10 shooting in 38 minutes. Way to earn the contracts, guys.
Couldn't agree more...
and now we are hearing the same thing about Thomas.
by badnewsintennisshoes on Feb 20, 2010 9:42 AM CST up reply actions
Your argument is Bullsh*t
That makes about as much sense as flipping a coin, it comes up heads
Then deducing an idiot theory such as" therefore folks every flip will come up heads".
The Bulls morgaged their future when they overpaid for Hinrich, Deng and Wallace.
And I don’t based that on one game performance but over two or more years play.
Gordon earned his money and carry those Bums for years.
Now the Bulls management lucked out again and Rose is carrying those overpaid Bums Hinrich and Deng.
I think the future looks pretty bright now...
so whatever they did or didn’t do I’m glad they did or didn’t do it. Rose, Noah, Deng, insert max free agent, new head coach…me like.

You mean, like how the Bulls are holding onto Hinrich's contract?
Gordon’s minutes: 19:55
Charlie V: 18:14
Exactly what are they expecting when their two FA signings don’t even see the floor? It’s Detroit’s fault they paid two guys and treat them like bench players.
