Bulls and Bucks have reached agreement to trade Chicago’s John Salmons for Kurt Thomas and Francisco Elson, a league source tells Y!

won’t happen till the summer unless the lakers change there mind by 2pm chicago time

Why trade Kirk?
Salmons being dealt means we have the room to land a big name. Kirk doesn’t have a great contract but he’s a solid player. I would hate to unload everyone and end up with nothing this Summer (which I’m guessing will happen).
awww salmons is gone woooo playoffs here we come

Crazy!
Bulls guard Derrick Rose was unaware of a potential trade before the Knicks game.
“Man, that’s crazy thinking about John leaving,” Rose said. “He just came here [in a trade with the Kings on Feb. 18, 2009]. But, it’s the NBA. If he does get traded we’ll definitely miss him, but [the season] must continue.”

Berger
There are multiple reports that the Bulls are in discussions to send John Salmons to the Bucks for Kurt Thomas and Francisco Elson, a swap that could set the table for Chicago trading Tyrus Thomas.
Although Elson is out until mid-March while recovering from hernia surgery, the move would accomplish two goals for the Bulls: Shedding Salmons’ $5.8 million salary off the 2010-11 books and importing big-man depth to make a Thomas deal palatable for the rest of the season.
While the Knicks were finalizing negotiations with the Rockets over draft-pick protection issues in their Tracy McGrady arrangement, sources said New York also was hard at work Wednesday night on another scenario. There has been some hard push from within the Knicks’ organization to pursue an off-again, on-again swap centered around Al Harrington-for-Thomas. Coach Mike D’Antoni believes Thomas would be a long-term fit for his system, and that Harrington’s offensive style would hinder the team’s ability to make a playoff push down the stretch this season.
“It’s still in play,” one person familiar with the discussions said of a possible Harrington-for-Thomas swap, which would include other pieces.
There also was talk at the Garden that the Knicks were discussing a trade with the Bulls that would send Al Harrington to Chicago, with Harrington possibly being rerouted to a third team.

LOL at Tyrus Love
The guys sucks the majority of the time. He gets a block and couple dunks and everyone forgets the times he takes moronic shots, makes a dumb foul, or forgets to guard his man. Three coaches here have felt he doesn’t have the ability to play regularly. There aren’t a ton of teams lining up for his services either.
But maybe you guys are right. All the coaches and executives in the NBA are wrong. He’s just a 20-10 guy who can’t get playing time (because bad teams love benching great players). I’m guessing you guys were big fans of Isiah Rider and Harold Miner too.
Isaiah Rider

The Rockets would get Kenny Thomas, Andres Nocioni, Beno Udrith and a Kings’ protected No. 1 draft pick. Sacramento would acquire Tyrus Thomas, Brad Miller and Salmons from the Bulls.

If Salmons to Bucks is on the table
Why would we be interested in dumping our other expiring players for crappy McGrady? I’d rather have Miller and Tyrus over McGrady. The deadline key was freeing up space and they did that.

anyone else on the MSG feed?
where they were going on and on about the knicks panicking and only looking for a 3pt shot on that last major possession?
to me, that was a total coaching thing. clearly d’antoni said to go for the three.
"They should. They better. I'm Vinny Del Negro!"
yes, kelly tripucka said it
but they got a good chance, after a bad one and a couple close-to-steals by bulls. d’antoni really believes in the three though, and it was probably their best percentage play, what with miller out (pick and roll liability).
"Let's do some living... after we die"
i didn't necessarily think it was the wrong play
but they were going on and on about it when it was clearly a coaching direction. they didn’t mention that it could have possibly been d’antoni’s direction that they didn’t go for a 2 once during that sequence.
"They should. They better. I'm Vinny Del Negro!"

He's kind of got a swagger
I think he knows he won’t be back next year and is just saying fuck it. Doing what he wants and isn’t being robotic. For all the crap he’s gotten, I really don’t have a ton of complaints right now. Rose is developing properly and the team is better than I thought.
rose had to go 1 on 4 for about 30 minutes because vinny cant structure an offense. thats-a bad-a vinny.

But being a millionaire in South Beach is a very nice life.
AZ media that are usually pretty accurate with Suns info say the Suns won’t be moving Amare by the deadline
Once Cavs said screw you, that was all she wrote
Pat Riley don’t do deals unless he comes out on top. Suns probably want Mike B PLUS 1st rounder. Pat is probably saying we can sign the guy outright this summer AND he actually wants to come to Miami, so take our trash and like it or lose him for nothing this summer.
"Some people want it to happen, some wish it would happen, others make it happen." - Michael Jordan
yeah Riley's like that
he wont do a deal that helps his team if it helps the other team equally or more.
Why aren't they selling Rose's all star jersey?
