I think Denver is pretty high on him because he plays tough defense and can make the three but do you think they would resign him for more than he's making now? I believe he averages 12.8 per game. He's 6'5 and is averaging 43% from 3. He's gotten better each season.
I believe he's making 1.9 million so should the Bulls offer him their MLE? If they have one? This way you can stand pat and not give up guys like Taj or Asik in a trade and even keep the ability to draft a two guard in the summer.
Ric Bucher thinks he's worth it.
ESPN The Magazine's Ric Bucher interjects with another possible get for the Bulls: Denver's Arron Afflalo.
[....]
I'd actually take JR's teammate Arron Afflalo over both of them. Afflalo is a defensive stopper who shoots the three well and plays with the demeanor of a vet even though this is only his fourth season. The biggest question, of course, is the price. If it involves Taj Gibson or Omer Asik, I don't make it. Straight up for Ronnie Brewer and cap filler? Only then."
Maybe the Bulls can make a minor deal for Anthony Parker for the time being and sign Double A in the offseason?
