Heh

This is funny. You can’t trade draft picks in consecutive years so that 5th pick isn’t gonna come til 2020.

Also, if anybody’s going to say yes to this, you know it’s gonna be the Knicks.

Pat Riley is the devil.

Chandler would be NICE

(never happen though)

Until Keith Bogans is taken out of the starting lineup, it's: Tommy Del Thibo

If the Knicks are that confident they can land Melo,

and Chandler would be the only existing talent to send away, I don’t see how it couldn’t happen. Maybe if we had a clever, creative and opportunistic front office …

Wait

The Bulls get Chandler and we send the Knicks the Charlotte pick that goes to Denver?

That sounds like a poor deal.

I can predict the future using Norm Van Lier's crystal balls.

Why?

In the past 10 years, just four team owners have not paid a luxury tax and are not on pace to pay one this year: Donald Sterling, Jerry Reinsdorf, Chris Cohen (Golden State), Bob Johnson (Charlotte).

Two owners’ teams averaged an operating income of over +$10 million per year while their teams have lost over 60% of their games: Donald Sterling and Jerry Reinsdorf.

That's exactly what I was thinking

Some third team with a nice 1st round pick to give away and some garbage player that’s expiring is going to get away with a steal in this deal. I would dangle both my pcik in front of those guys and see what they can work out. Would you take JR Smith from the Nuggets in that type of exchange?

by Ceasaleo on Dec 31, 2010 1:49 AM CST up reply actions

no

since we got rid of him once, we probably wont take him back

by grabmesomeBOOZ on Dec 31, 2010 2:12 AM CST up reply actions

Yes

We only got rid of him because Skiles couldn’t [wouldn’t] coach him, and because Garpaxdorf prefers character over talent. He has matured and we have a real coach now.

Ummm don't think that's true

If I remember correctly they traded him for eisley who they could cut, putting them were they wanted to be cap wise after signing Wallace

I dont mind JR Smith

when we have Rose, Noah, Boozer, and Thibs around the team all the time.

Meh... they'll never get that

When push comes to shove, I still think they’ll get less, and there’s still no assurance whatsoever that Melo will go to NJ.

I still think, given the variety of folks that have intimated he’d be happy to sign an extension with us, that we should be preparing the best sorts of deals we can. This deal doesn’t, and never has hinged only on what Denver wants… it hinges on where the guy is willing to sign.
