Mannix: Bulls one of the "most active" team in trade talks (scoring guard)
Per Rotoworld: Keith Bogans and Ronnie Brewer aren't quite getting the job done, and the Bulls have long had their eye on (for instance) J.J. Redick. There has also been chatter about J.R. Smith being on the block, but one way or another the Bulls are likely to soon have a new SG.

Bulls cannot acquire Redick until next July at the earliest
Well, isn't what LeBron did last night the living embodiment of The Secret, leaving millions on the table and turning himself into a hometown villain, all for the sake of winning?

The Mythical 2-Guard Who Can Defend and Shoot
I guess it must be mythical because this many years later, they’re still looking for one.
the post player was real
maybe this 2 guard is real too

E-Rob... needs a job.

But they actually have the power to put him on the bench..
Ronnie Brewer must look like complete shit in practice.

They want to win now
They can win now?
I think Taj is expendable with Boozer, Noah, and Asik. So if his value is high right now I’d trade him in a heartbeat.
I still find it hard to believe that JR Smith is in the mix. Maybe Gar like JR back in the day and Paxson just couldn’t get JR into the Notre Dame booster club.
I can predict the future using Norm Van Lier's crystal balls.

ease of scheduel?
easier to implement a player into a new system during this time period?
I dont care what the D.N.A. Says, the Guy wearing number 12 Cannot be Kirk Hinrich, he is definetly Kurt. Kirk can actually play basketball!
The team will have plenty of time to gel between the trade deadline and playoffs
With the Bulls holding a very limited collection of trade assets, would rather see them wait and get the best player available to them than to just make a deal now just to get it over with.

The fact that Bogans is starting is making this whole thing seem way more urgent than it actually is.
I’m not totally sold on Brewer being the guy, but this whole “We need a shooting guard, now!!!” mentality would not be so bad if he was starting. The franchise is almost putting more pressure on itself, and making things seem more desperate by handling it this way (I guess most/all of the blame should go to Thibs)

I think we've seen the reason for urgency the last couple games as the Bulls have needed someone other than
Rose and Boozer to make an impact offensively. Brewer and Korver haven’t helped on that end when they’ve played. That said, they should wait it out as long as they can instead of settling for a limited upgrade in SJax or Smith now. Those guys are likely to still be available at the trade deadline if nothing better comes along.

A lot of it may also have to do with fatigue
Rose is carrying a heavy load. yes he’s dynamic and growing but there is no reason for a PG to have to put up the amount of shots he’s putting up every night just for the Bulls to stay competitive and win games.
We’re not talking about “upgrading” the SG position, we’re talking about filling a vacant SG position. There’s a difference there. Bogans literally is giving us nothing. So as a result we have one playmaker on the court and 2 true scorers when you count Boozer. They have to get something on the wing and I think it’s urgent that they get something over there.
Hey Rose. I don't see the appeal!

I agree
I know Rose is young, but i’m worried that he might burn himself out when playoff time comes, specially with the large amount of minutes he plays each game……….bulls need a more players to step up and reduce his work load……ps. that means you Deng and Korver
Will everyone call him weak then, or will they recognize that he has a somewhat limited cast?
In the past 10 years, just four team owners have not paid a luxury tax and are not on pace to pay one this year: Donald Sterling, Jerry Reinsdorf, Chris Cohen (Golden State), Bob Johnson (Charlotte).
Two owners’ teams averaged an operating income of over +$10 million per year while their teams have lost over 60% of their games: Donald Sterling and Jerry Reinsdorf.
We'll be fine
I think our struggles are a little exaggerated at them moment because guys like Korver and Taj are performing so porly. Other guys will start to pick things up now that we’re at home.

I also left Luol off the player suckage list. His name should be right at the top
But I’m sure things will turn around

This is Deng.
Look at his numbers. His FG and FT percentages are a bit low, and he’s maintained a good percentage from deep despite more than tripling his attempts, but he’s pretty much the same player he always has been. One that looks woeful a lot of the time but ends up with a nice stat line.
Dengs plays too much
and Korver should be playing more. No wonder Deng struggles in 4th quarters. He never sits. It doesn’t help that JJ sucks

I expect Korver to get better,
but I think Taj is Taj. I’m not a big fan. He’s OK off of the bench, but his shot has to improve. I can’t remember the last time I’ve seen him nail a J.
Yeah, if he could consistantly nail that jumper it would really help his game

It looked so good early on,
but he’s really tailed off.
Theoretically there could be
For example, the grizzlies might be willing to sell low on mayo now, but if he starts heating up then the grizzlies will probably raise their asking price for him.
Pat Riley is the devil.
No harm in doing it already
it’s not like the fantastic Taj is on a roll. He is only averaging 3 ppg and 3 rpg since Noah went out

Okay
I just gotta step in and say that if there ever was a time where per-game stats are meaningless, this is it. Taj played all of 31 seconds in one game. Of course his per-game stats are going to suck.
Pat Riley is the devil.
I hate Stephen Jackson.
If the Bulls get him, eeewww….
