''I'm trying to change it now where instead of avoiding the contact and hitting crazy shots, I'm trying to get fouled and go to the free-throw line,'' he said. ''It's kind of weird for me right now getting used to it, but it's coming along.''

That quote was posted nearly a week ago,
and Derrick has shot 6, 2 and 5 FTA since then. It’s nice that he’s saying it, but he’s gotta actually do it.

I felt I noticed it a few times vs Denver
especially on a fastbreak where we didn’t have numbers, Rose put his head down and charged.

It's not going to happen over night.
These are years of habits he’s trying to change. The important thing is that he knows that he needs to change them.

You're right,
but he’s had plenty of chances to implement it and hasn’t. Each fast break could turn into free throws if he tried to Lebron his way to the hoop.
Thank You. How come he gets 2 recs and I only got 1? LOL

i was going to write something really acidic about derrick here but i opted against it.
i just wish he’d stop talking.
Just like the kid who gets Super Mario World for the SNES and acts like it is better than Mario 3 when in fact nothing is better than Mario 3.

Really? He trying to do the thing that people have been asking him to do
and now that is a bad thing. I hope you guys hold yourselves to the same high standards that you hold the Bulls basketball team.

I don't mind him saying it
just as long as the Org. (or us for that matter) doesn’t believe it. At least don’t believe it yet.

I've got your back
I said something similar. I at least agree with the sentiment that I’d prefer he prove it on the court than everyone talking about him becoming MVP. It’s not the end of the world that he’s making these comments, but he’s got quite a way to go before he’s a legit MVP candidate.
Doesn’t seem very moral to me. Might as well take Satan’s autograph while you’re at it. - N.C.
Good, but I don't want him to overdue it and become Greg Oden.
I don’t want to see him in street clothes, keeping Scal company.
I want him to runover people not named shaq, dwight, or anybody as big as them.
as for the remaing 98% of the opponents, atttttaaaackkkk!!!!!
