Doesn’t want to be classified as 7 feet. http://nbcsports.msnbc.com/id/36745961/ns/sports-nba/
BQ. "He’s 7 feet tall and maybe one of the best shooters in the world," Knicks Coach Mike D’Antoni said of Durant, listed at 6 feet 9 inches. "I don’t think they’ve invented a game of basketball yet that he wouldn’t be perfect for."

good game, but 59% from the free throw line???
Thats pathetic and has to improve.
Small point on Rose-
Love the unselfishness. He might want to be an MVP, but he knows scoring isn’t the only way to control a game. He really will do whatever it takes. Last game we need him to score – he gets 39. Tonight the offense is rolling – only shoots 11 times for an efficent 15 points/13 assists, and we beat an excellent portland team.
That’s a rare bird right there.

7 seconds or less
thats how long it took between unmuting the MNF game til the first time the announcers polished Manning’s balls.
Big win for the bulls
I guess more bulls fans need to keep talking shit on Deng, so he can continue to play well….lol
This was a big win! Three hours ago on paper we barely win or outright lose. Instead we win by 12
and the score isn’t even that close? This was a big win.
Deng is the key
Obviously he’s not going to put up 40 every night, but if he just plays as well as he did in 2006-07 the Bulls will win 50+ games.
He *should* put up 15+ a night without issue
I maintain that he needs to play the way he played in the Cleveland series ALL THE TIME.
I love how
Thibs is out to the 3 point line when the Bulls are on defense.
If Rose keeps up his play, Deng performs half as good as tonight, Noah continues to be awesome, and Boozer returns healthy
We could get 55 wins with 3 All-Stars, and Rose could be top 5 in MVP votes
I fucking loved our defense. A bit foul happy to be sure but they treated Portland like rag dolls.
And Luol Deng definitely reads BaB.

I think he is doing that
Just he’s trying to keep teams from giving him the disgruntling player tag. That way it makes him look better in the face of other teams.
Why
should he risk not going to New York, where he obviously wants to be?
Worst case scenario for Melo (if he doesn’t demand a trade) is to play out this season in Denver and sign with New York for $8 billion.
"I want to be that guy. I want to be the reason the Bulls are back."- Derrick Rose.
"I'm never leaving Chicago."- Derrick Rose
Nah man, worst case scenario is he doesn't sign an extension. Gets jobbed by the new labor agreement and
signs for A LOT less then he would if he took the extension. Assuming Stern isn’t able to get them to roll back existing contracts.
Well
I was speaking under normal circumstances.
Which these aren’t. Good point.
Either way, I don’t see how he’s not in New York to start next season.
"I want to be that guy. I want to be the reason the Bulls are back."- Derrick Rose.
"I'm never leaving Chicago."- Derrick Rose
I agree he'll probably be in New York. But Denver has a lot more leverage then ESPN is giving them
credit for. They have to play chicken with Melo up to the deadline and if they’re going to trade him, do it at the absolute last minute.
melo would make us part of the boston/la/miami tier

…..when only teams from Canada and the US are involved in MLB? Are there other teams from other nations involved or am I missing something here?
The idea is that America is both the world's leader in baseball,
and the place where the rest of the world comes to test its mettle (athletically and culturally). It’s actually an offensive phrase, as well as inaccurate.
Same thing with football
Football teams who win the Superbowl are called World Champions yet the NFL only exists in the US.
same with NBA and NHL
LeBitch and KG's constant showboating, chest pounding, dunking with one hand behind the ear, dancing, and pure and simple rubbing it in is so fucking annoying.

WEAVER! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
No, we deserved to lose the first game
Sloppy 4th quarter and they took advantage
Nope
OKC outplayed them in the 4th. A legit loss.
by Dr. Handsome, D.D.S. on Nov 1, 2010 10:07 PM CDT up reply actions
Also their home crowd was FUCKING ROCKING
We could have been up by 15 and they would have won
but the refs, man
8-10 calls went to OKC
they had almost 50 fts
True. That got annoying real quick
But it’s been a trend in all three games so far. I think we need crisper D, frankly
Taj in particular has been disappointing so far
Cause the season is so old and everything. Seriously though, Taj, you’re not a rookie anymore. And you didn’t play this clunkily last season. Remember how you started all those games and led all rookies in rebounding and were a bright light? I know you’re old and everything, but don’t burn out on us already.
besides the fouls i thought taj has played pretty damn good
by ALmighty1080 on Nov 1, 2010 10:14 PM CDT up reply actions
In OKC or tonight?
I honestly don’t remember his stats from game one. I AM OLDER THAN TAJ OH EM GEE
He was crap against Detroit though
he had 16 and 11 against OKC.
he’s been in double figures every game. Scoring wise, at least.
"I want to be that guy. I want to be the reason the Bulls are back."- Derrick Rose.
"I'm never leaving Chicago."- Derrick Rose
OK then I take back some of my comments
Also it is seriously the third game of the year. I want to see Taj embarrass Amare on Thursday and make small dick jokes while doing it
Can't be mad
About losing to Durant though. They had a team that had lots of chemistry and we have a bunch of new guys.
I think we'll be alright without Boozer

But better depending on how soon after the circus trip Boozer comes back.

Wow, thats really pessimistic
You should not fear the circus trip.
We have a really good team.
I don't fear it as much as we play a fuck load of good teams between now and #20
Boston twice, OKC again, Houston twice, San Antonio, Dallas, Lakers…
I think we will be above .500 by then and also that a healthy Boozer added to the lineup makes January our best month of the season
well i think we beat OKC this time around
i dont think houston is that good with yao still being limited, we’ve already shown we can compete against dallas in preseason, depending on the pace of the spurs game, if we manage to speed up the game we could blow them out. boston and the lakers are the only teams that i see us having difficulties against if every1 on our team isnt playing amazing

...
Wins against the Knicks, Denver, Golden State, Washington, Houston and OKC at home and Cleveland, Houston and Sacramento away. Losses to Boston twice, San Antonio, Lakers, Phoenix, Denver, Dallas away and Orlando at home.
Seems a bit optimistic really.

I like our chances against elite teams
Theres no reason to think Boston, Lakers, Orlando, will kill us.
We can play with them, even without Booz
You don't think we split with Boston?
I’m saying we win on Friday.
Why isnt Luol's 40 pt performance the lead story on ESPN.com?
East coast bias. Bastards.
Aren't the Bulls technically in the East?
Or is Chicago a midwest town when it comes to sports?
Midwest for sure
but yes the Bulls are in the Eastern Confernce
Well, yeah, but I was sort of wondering why the east coast bias.
I always thought Chicago was in that East coast sphere, even though it’s a city in the Midwest. If that makes sense, but I get your point.
People on the East Coast think the Midwest is where hicks live
Which is fine by me. I think the East Coast is where a great many foolish people live

No recap (from me, anyway, not sure what Sports2 has planned), I missed the game. From what I saw of the site over the weekend, glad Luol had a night to kick the James Johnson fan club in the nutsack.
That’s right, the important thing is that even if the team does well, we can battle eachother over what players we like more.

But I think he should stay in the rotation. It can’t hurt to have an energy player with strength who can hit a 3 and grab a rebound off the bench.

Well
JJ can play. Loved his foul on Aldridge in the first half. Aldridge was going to flush that guarded by nobody. Asik blew the coverage. JJ chased him down from the 3pt line and made a play on the ball at the rim.
JJ will play more if he doesn’t have to foul because his teammates blow assignments.

SOCCER
get ready for a whole lot of it on TV
I will get critized for saying this, but Soccer is the most popular sport on the planet.

I was reading some of be's comments, and im upset....
its probably not my place to say, but i feel like they are insulting the death of maurice lucas.
Basically a few of their members, (and even before the game started) were talking about how this passing may affect their game tonight….and it got me thinking…
AFter the passing of norm and red, the next game, against the crappy wizards…we lost….and i remember, everyone on blogabull, everyone in the media, every fan was angry. NOt just at the loss itself, but the fact that it came after the loss of red and norm, it was like the ultimate insult for us bulls fans, it had the media saying “FOR SHAME” to the bulls who could not give the memory of norm “48 min of intensity” that they could not let red enjoy sweet victory…
I get it, theres two teams playing in a game, and one of them has to lose….i get it….but i cant understand how blazers fans, on a site covered with articles about Maurice Lucas, are using his passing almost as an excuse for this loss…..
i understand its not all of them, or a majority of them, but its more than a person..and i dont know who maurice lucas is, i dont know what he did or his importance…but it just bothers me that there are some who praise him and are pretty much insulting him and his legacy by pinning this loss on his passing…
again…im probably out of line here….
I dont care what the D.N.A. Says, the Guy wearing number 12 Cannot be Kirk Hinrich, he is definetly Kurt. Kirk can actually play basketball!

meh its miami
we could not foul and they would still find ways to get to the line…
I like how thibs left jj, asik, and noah in the game with 5 fouls (especially the first 3), and that somehow only asik fouled out, i think it was thibs version of a training drill….you cant foul anymore…now defend the paint, and if you fail…we pretty much lose…." extreme…yes….effective….maybe…

i thought derrick was great tonight. he scored, rebounded, passed really well, and andre miller did
nothing. just a pleasure to watch. however, i hope the other 29 teams werent watching the last 5 minutes, because a good, big defender coupled with fast, swarming double teams really exploited the bulls’ lack to a second ball handler. and roses passes out of doubles are very sloppy.
