Advanced Statistical Plus Minus Value Over Replacement Player

Well, isn't what LeBron did last night the living embodiment of The Secret, leaving millions on the table and turning himself into a hometown villain, all for the sake of winning?

whats the replacement player?

the player that took his roster spot or the guy backing him during those years?

This may go down as the most retarded decade in NBA history.

a replacement player is [I think] an average NBA SG at the time.

The Clippers fired the second-worst coach in basketball so they could hire the worst coach in basketball!

A Replacement Level Player is a player whose value is worth no more than a minimum contract

Think of your typical 13th man on the roster, though, not Scals. I believe he’s come in as below replacement level. I don’t know if this applies to D-League, but in baseball the concept is a player whose production can be replaced by someone from AAA.

hahahahahahahaha!!!!

In the past 10 years, just four team owners have not paid a luxury tax and are not on pace to pay one this year: Donald Sterling, Jerry Reinsdorf, Chris Cohen (Golden State), Bob Johnson (Charlotte).

Two owners’ teams averaged an operating income of over +$10 million per year while their teams have lost over 60% of their games: Donald Sterling and Jerry Reinsdorf.

Why doesn't it go up to 14?

Wasn’t that Taj’s last year?

Teams without Chapu lost 1173 games during the 2009-'10 season.

I have no idea what this means.

But I’ll surely bring it up in a conversation if and when someone asks me how good Mike was.

‘Wanna know why Mike was so great? Because his Ass-Pim-Vore-Ep was off the charts!’

Yeah, AI didn't even practice.

Martial artist James Johnson demonstrated the "quart of blood" technique on teammate Brian Scalabrine. A quart of blood dropped out of his body, which could explain why Scal is so pale.

as far as Wilt and Russell

it says right there in the title “…since 1977”. not sure about Kareem tho. Maybe it’s for those drafted in ’77 or later.

There are really only two plays: Romeo and Juliet, and put the darn ball in the basket.

perhaps because

kareem’s career was like a third over by 77… and wouldn’t have included a few of his best seasons.

I can't read this.

I saw T2 at Walgreens in Deerfield he’s tall. if you’re wondering what his grocery list included: magnums, french vanilla ice cream and a 20 oz sprite

LOLZ.

Kyle Korver should be the starting SG for the 2010-11 Chicago Bulls.

by fundamentallysound on Oct 10, 2010 7:27 PM CDT up reply actions

Jordan was unbelievable

The Top 4 ASPM VORP seasons ever, and 8 of the Top 9. Unless LeBron has passed up some of those. I thought I read somewhere that Chris Paul set a record for this stat in 2008-09…maybe that was just ASPM? maybe just for PGs?
