Around SBN: Seahawks Trade for TE Kellen Winslow

How Lebron (or Wade) to the Bulls could work for us.

The first step to draping the torso of Lebron James with Bulls red would be 1st draping the body of T-Mac in Bulls red. As we all know Salmons and Hinrich contracts play a huge role in us landing a top FA this off-season. As some have previously mentioned before, dealing both HInrich and Salmons to Houston in a deal for T-Mac.

The Bulls would send HInrich, Salmons, James and Pargo to Houston in exchange for T-Mac, Lowry and Taylor or Dorsey. The salaries match for both teams and was accepted using the ESPN trade machine.

Link.

I think T-Mac would keep us competitive, because I'm sure he wants to get one last deal before be leaves the NBA. Lowry would be a competent back-up PG behind Rose and we would gain his Bird-rights for the off-season, which will be important later on. The Bulls would have a line-up and rotation as follows.

PG - Rose / Lowry

SG - T-Mac / Brown

SF - Deng / Johson

PF - Thomas / Gibson (I wish)

C-    Noah /Miller

That team could still push for a play-off stop while maintaining maximum cap room for 2010. If the projected cap for 2010 is 55 mill we would have about 33 mill in cap room (All salaries were taken from www.Draftexpress.com). The 1st year for a max NBA deal is $16.5 Mill and we actually could sign (2) players to max deals while keeping a roster of Rose, Noah, Deng, Gibson, JJ, Asik and our 1st and 2nd round picks from the 2010 draft.

Lets say James wants to come to Chicago and be KING. We could ship Deng to the Cavs in a sign and trade that would still leave us with $27 to $28 Million in cap space with a Roster that includes Rose, James and Noah!

We could easily sign Bosh, STAT, Boozer or Lee to near max deals starting at around $13 to $15 mill per year. We could re-sign Lowry, who would be retarded to not want to play for this team. We probably could absorb a player purely as a salary dump, or sign someone like Azubuike of Golden State, who has an ETO at the end of this year. He would love to be the starting SG in that HOF line-up and make around $4 to $5 per.

If this would happend our team would look like this.

PG - Rose/ Lowry

SG - Azubuike/ 1st rounder

SF - James/ JJ

PF - Bosh/ Gibson

C -   Noah/ Asik

That team would win rings for years to come. And just to make Jerry happy we would be under the cap until we have to sign Rose and Noah to extensions lol. The sam scenario could be done with Wade, but for the sake of sleep I will not do another FanPost about this lol.

Call me a dreamer, but I do not think the Cavs, Heat, Knicks, Nets, Timberwolves or Clippers can compete with what the Bulls can offer. With a sign and trade Bron still can get a 6 year contract. We could also do a sign and trade for Bosh,  we could send them future picks and may bee JJ or Taj to make the numbers work and Bosh gets a 6 year deal as well.

Chicago is a major market with an avid and loyal fan base. I had an epiphany that this summer is going to be big for us and we can thank it all to Rose and Noah. Maybe it will be Wade replacing Lebron is this scenario, but something big is gonna happen for us people....I can feel it.

It’s gotten to the point where it’s painful to think about. I can’t wait til there’s some closure on all this 2010 stuff, I can’t take it anymore!!!

when the 2010 summer is over and they end up getting JJ there might be some hangover there.

Like when I went to see GI Joe which I had been waiting two years to see. I knew it would be bad but when I went to see it in person for the first time it was worse than I thought. I developed a strong dislike for Hollywood that day.

If the Bulls come away with Joe Johnson I might have the same disappointing feelings. That won’t be winning titles.

DRAGONBALL EVOLUTION

dbz fans, not even hardcore ones, have been waiting for that movie for like a decade. When the first matrix movie came out, we were like damn you know they could actually do one that would be decent. After the Revolution, dbz fans and anime fans were like THEY COULD TOTALLY MAKE AN EPIC DBZ MOVIE…..then we got dbe….my god the horror…..

On Behalf of Sue, Wjb, majoyenrac, Bullshooter and all the other Hinrich fans...Ill keep the Hinrich Hope coming...There will be light!

Houston has cap room

They’re not using it on Salmons/Hinrich.

McGrady Neither

They can get something better than that… I think

by JustAnotherFan on Feb 1, 2010 6:33 AM CST up reply actions

They have a chock full of guards in Houston

I don’t see why they would make a trade that makes them so much worse, as well as letting go of McGrady’s contract.

A trade like this might work. They get the frontcourt presence they want, as well as Hinrich; the return is still the same for the Bulls with Lowry, McGrady and Taylor. A worse deal for Chicago, which would really screw up their big man rotation, but it’s much more realistic.

by NittanyCub on Jan 31, 2010 11:40 AM CST reply actions

Actually, this one is more

realistic. If the Bulls let go of both Miller and Thomas, they would need one guy that can play the 4 or 5.

Rose
McGrady/Salmons
Deng
Gibson/Johnson(ugh)
Noah/Hayes

Chuck Hayes has a team option for next year at $2,334,125, packed on to the $22,483,124 of McGrady’s, WITH Hinrich heading out… that could be nice. It works well for Houston, too; they get Thomas as well as Miller’s expiring. But they have to take on Hinrich’s albatross of a contract.

Brooks/Hinrich
Ariza/Hinrich
Battier
Scola/Thomas/Landry
Miller

by NittanyCub on Jan 31, 2010 11:55 AM CST up reply actions

Houston has

0 incentive to do that deal. It doesn’t make them better now or in the future, plus it makes their financial situation a lot worse.

As you said, they don’t need Hinrich, so locking his contract in for the next 3 years makes no sense. Plus, they’d likely rather have Hayes over Tyrus.

Vinny: "[Thrust] means pace, it means getting the ball out, it means getting your back to the sidelines, it means extending your outlets, it means getting the ball up the court into our early offense with plenty of time."

Isn't Larry Hughes a FA this offseason?

Let’s give him a max contract!

The more I think about it...

The more I think that we should push for Bosh more than Wade. Wade and Rose are basically the same and they would cancel each other out and we NEED a post scoring big man and he can go inside and out and he can rebound unlike Stoudamire (aka Bizarro Tyrus) .

And as for Lebitch Fuck him.

by T.Moore on Feb 1, 2010 10:07 AM CST reply actions

yer i agree

The more i think about it the more it seems right….Bosh would be the perfect fit for this current bulls team…imagine the rebounding numbers…NOAH, BOSH, DENG
