Around SBN: 2012 Budweiser Shootout Entry List Released

Rose in January

Derrick Rose has played 13 games in January:
23.3 ppg
6.46 apg
4.53 rpg

**2.69 TO**<--needs to go down

FGM-A
131/257 - 51%

3PM-A
2/4     -     50%

FTM-A
39/57  -     68%  <--needs to go up
only 4.38 attempts per game.

our record so far in January?
8-5  -  not great but 3 of those losses were very winnable

one step further:
If we look at the last 3 games of December our record is
11-5 in our last 16. Counting those 3 games, Rose is still
at 23 ppg.

in those games, we have quality wins over spurs, rockets, suns,
celtics, and hornets.

I'm sure all of the above was known by everyone here, but I
just wanted to once again point out how awesome Derrick Rose
is.

I'd like to here any thoughts on the way the bulls have played
recently.

I'd agree

I knew he was good, very good, but this stretch of late is unreal….

I think he’ll always be a somewhat high TO kind of player, though I do think perhaps those would come down once he has more guys who can score beside him—because right now there’s an awful lot of the game he has to force his will and sometimes that doesn’t always work.

I think his D is underrated actually these days, he’s far from uber echelon PG’s but he ain’t bad by any stretch and has taken what at the face of it seems like a leap forwards.

The scoring has been great and seemingly very efficient, which makes it better.

The assists are phenomenal considering he’s mostly passing to a Kirk, Noah, Taj as 3 guys who are more D players than anything (Deng and Salmons are more balanced players—though obviously John hasn’t played his best ball to date).

But yeah I am seeing him BECOME the franchise player. I was too young to remember MJ—since I really started watching the Bulls as a kid when Scottie came on board (his rookie year) and you know me being a kid I didn’t see those things anyway….

But this is fun. I hope he keeps it up.

Sadly....through thick and thin....

4.38 is fine for a point guard.

I saw T2 at Walgreens in Deerfield he’s tall. if you’re wondering what his grocery list included: magnums, french vanilla ice cream and a 20 oz sprite

sure... unless you are a PG that takes 18 shots a night.

Its about the same as what Paul has gotten a couple seasons

and not much less than Williams. Yes, he should probably get to the line about once or twicemore, but well… that is one or two more fouls a game. You don’t think he will get there in the next couple years?

His TOV% (the only thing that really matters) is only 13% for the year. That's pretty good, especially for a second year PG.

1. Cut a hole in a box
2. Put your Kirk in that box
3. Make some team open that box

No, really. Kirk needs to GTFO. Trade his ass, GarPaxDorf.

And he's controlling the ball far more this season, even with Hinrich on the floor.

We really underestimated how much the Bulls just relied on Gordon to do his thing last season.

yeah, USG and AST% are up, but TOV% is down. Nice trend.

You forgot

the quality win over the Magic. First game of 2010.

The Beatles. The Fab Four. The greatest band of all time. John, Paul, George and Scottie Pippen.
