this is gonna be like one of the top 10 dunks

of the whole season…for the entire league!!!!

This game was a highlight reel for rose

U have questions about roses game he answers them

Can he dunk….(alleyoop from rose, dunk on dragic)
Can he pass (only five assists but there were planty of flash in some of those passes, like the last one to noah)
Can he play defense (maybe not the best man to man, but yea he got a few steals and contested some shots from behind, IN AIR)
Can he hit jumpers (most of his shots were)
High percentage (check the boxscore and gawk)
How about 3s (oh yea…and it was a buzzer beater)
in the clutch (read above)
can he lead (everytime the team went down and almost lost the lead…he brought it back..on his own!)

take this game rose, and repeat it…for the rest of ure career!!!

Man

That game though was just really fun….I forget just how amazing Steve Nash is until I see him, and frankly I’d love for Rose to keep playing against Nash (Rose won the individual matchup yesterday of course), but Nash’s flashy and sensationally awesome passes were a thing of beauty. All night he’d weed through and do these crazy, perfect behind the back passes….

If Rose could develop his passing more….who knows….

What a game by D Rose. I always have kind of seen him as a second tier superstar (a Pau to a Kobe) but these past few weeks, given his 21 years of age…he really could be in the top 5 player in the league someday. I mean he was absolutely unbeatable yesterday and willed us into a win….

Sadly....through thick and thin....

by majoyenrac on Jan 23, 2010 12:30 PM CST up reply actions

i think it was one of nashs less flashy games

but i loved the reverse layup he pulled, i love nashs layup style and try to incorporate it into my game, its just so smooth…

by piccolomair on Jan 23, 2010 1:22 PM CST up reply actions

i also wouldnt say he willed us to win

the team in itself was playing quite well….i think noah getting into foul trouble was the biggest problem for our team cuz it afected our defense and offense quite alot (noah sets rose the best screens, and then gets himself around the basket for a rebound or a shot, taj nor tyrus, and not even brad screen rose that effectively)

As a fierce Rose hater, I must contest this evidence.

He still can’t do interviews. And John Wall is better.

ESPN FAIL

Still mad about that Boston series,?/??they ranked Rose’s dunk # 6 in their TOP TEN highlights… you have to be kidding me. College Hockey, College basketball, Knicks dunk.. were all ranked higher… Just absolute crap!

Too bad Lebron didn’t play tonight we could have ranked his pre game half court shot # 1. Or too bad Tom Bradey got knocked out of the playoffs they could have ranked him chin crater # 1.

why is there an asshole on my wheaties box?

by SoulEater7 on Jan 23, 2010 1:15 AM CST reply actions

WOW, I just saw that too

I’m not even being a homer, but that was fucking ridiculous. Rose’s dunk was insane and he gets beat out by some pretty lame shit. Meanwhile you know that dunk will have a crazy amount of youtube views, don’t think so for the rest of em.

Not to mention this quote from Salmons:
“That dunk just bumped somebody out of the top-10 dunks ever,” John Salmons said. “Whoever was 10, they’re out.”

Sorry John, actually it’s not even good enough to crack Sportscenter’s top five plays of Friday night. Bullshit.

Yep

Great comment
Pretty much sums up that dunk. After the dunk you could almost smell a Bulls victory coming, and there was a lot more game left to play (and the Bulls once upon a time blew a 35 pt lead and lost).

All your base are belong to Vinny.

Iunno about ever but ok….though it was crazy their lists really are deflating I just can’t believe it. The next one had Chandler doing a very average alley opp. And some shots that happen too often to be top 5 amazing.

The thing is its always surprising too how can they keep botching these lists.

Shannon Brown should switch to long-jump, high-jumping, etc.

In the past 10 years, just four team owners have not paid a luxury tax and are not on pace to pay one this year: Donald Sterling, Jerry Reinsdorf, Chris Cohen (Golden State), Bob Johnson (Charlotte).

Two owners’ teams averaged an operating income of over +$10 million per year while their teams have lost over 60% of their games: Donald Sterling and Jerry Reinsdorf.

When you sound like stale cardboard on his most exciting dunk of the season

You should shut the fuck up.

Honestly…Funk is horrendously bad at his job. You NEVER try to get through your sentence when your partner is blowing up over the dunk. You’re the play-by-play guy taking away from the moment for what? Let Stacey King do his thing and you can go back to fuckin’ up the names of every player on the team.

I think Rose is still elevating...

If you watch the Comcast replay there’s a PHX player that rises out of his seat, then quickly sits down… Can anyone see who that is?

by kingj41 on Jan 23, 2010 8:39 AM CST reply actions

I think it was Amare

He wasn’t on the court at that moment.

During the start of the 3rd (1:19:15 mark on 360 replay). He bumped into Rose and said, “You on fire…”
I couldn’t make out Rose’s response because he’s too timid.

by kingj41 on Jan 23, 2010 8:50 AM CST up reply actions

what you didn't hear him say was

put in a good word with your management for me! I wanna come play with you!
