given Deng's Sudan charities

I think Reinsdorf just wrote Noah a $100m contract.

It's so friggin great

To see Noah come into his own though, especially with all those naysayers about him being drafted too high at #9….

I know that happens, but I was giddy with Noah then….and now.

I mean I know he’s not franchise superstar type, but his maturity and growth into legitimate all star worthy player in his 3rd season (especially after the slow starts in years 1 and 2) has to make you think…..man he’s been better than I even expected.

Sadly....through thick and thin....

agree

I haven’t got to watch much of the Bulls yet this year, and obviously disappointed like most fans in their record and the fact that it seems their team could be better but looking at box scores and reading the game summaries/comments/chatter it is great to see Noah grow into the player he has become …. not a superstar but he seems to get everything he can out of his talent and his effort and athleticism at his size leads to good things on the court … he seems to know how to play and win which on a better built team will lead to more Ws

oh yeah!

good point.

Like I’ve said, you have to let Reinsdorf know that you kiss the ring, and feel like any salary he gives you is his form of charity too (as opposed to your friggin’ wage)

maybe that

led to this

I'm cuckoo for Kukoc!!!

I think I hate Reinsdorf more than I hate Krause

people forget

that Joakim Noah would have been a top 5 pick had he not stayed at florida another season. Rumors had the bulls picking him with the number 2 pick before he decided to stay. In essence we got 2 top 2 picks in two years (tyrus and joakim the next year) but tyrus is killin me

Yeah that's true

There was even talk of him being #1 in that draft. People really forget some of the projections about Noah back then. I’m totally on his bandwagon and I’m glad we got a player who actually suprised everyone’s expectations. He’s the real deal

Yes, that's what's so frustrating about the Thomas pick.

Whether think it’s his fault, management’s fault or someone/something else’s, with the way Noah turned out, the Bulls blew this opportunity. It’s not often that a team can get two stud players while still winning.

Brandon Roy and Joakim Noah? Yeah, that’s better than Rose and Noah right now.

In the past 10 years, just four team owners have not paid a luxury tax and are not on pace to pay one this year: Donald Sterling, Jerry Reinsdorf, Chris Cohen (Golden State), Bob Johnson (Charlotte).

Two owners’ teams averaged an operating income of over +$10 million per year while their teams have lost over 60% of their games: Donald Sterling and Jerry Reinsdorf.

by tyger1147 on Jan 16, 2010 8:31 AM CST up reply actions

Yeah...

But that draft class was terrible because it was the first year that HS players couldn’t declare for the draft. Guys like Oden and Durant would have gone 1-2 that year if that rule wasn’t put into place.

yeah...

…but then they wouldn’t have gone the year that Noah did, raising him.

Joakim has become

my favorite player on this team. I love that he reminded those watching how privileged we are.

OK I don't know shit about basketball.

We’re lucky to have him on this team too. Too many guys have the wrong mind set to me.

I’m still amazed by how hes improved playing wise. From hearing some people talk about him in his Florida days or his first year with the team I hope they see how hes matured. Thats usually one of the best parts about a team.
