I know we probably should've taken him, I get it, but I am SOOOO sick of hearing about this guy.
The entire league passed on him. I think it’s time to get over it.

the only kind of people who use that excuse are the people who would follow one retard jumping off a cliff simply because everyones doing it.

It's not an excuse, it's a fact, basically every team passed on him.
Besides, I did add that they probably should have taken him. The only reason I included the “excuse” was to point out that their passing on him was less of a mistake (If it was one at all, seeing as his knees could still fall apart tomorrow) because every team doctor in the NBA red flagged the guy.
I’m not a “retard” that would just follow the next guy, but if that was their reasoning behind passing on him, I’ll accept that. And I think you may have missed my main point, which had nothing to do with whether or not they should have taken him, it’s that I’m sick as fuck of hearing about it.

He's got bad knees.
That’s why he went in the second round. No one wanted to commit to a guy who might not last more than 2 years. Also, he’s fat and small for a PF.
Plus, if he was on the Bulls and only playing 15 minutes a game, we’d be complaining even more than we are now.
"Oh, y ahora ¿quién podrá defenderme?" "¡Yo!"
He'd be playing 30 mins per game on the Bulls.
In the past 10 years, just four team owners have not paid a luxury tax and are not on pace to pay one this year: Donald Sterling, Jerry Reinsdorf, Chris Cohen (Golden State), Bob Johnson (Charlotte).
Two owners’ teams averaged an operating income of over +$10 million per year while their teams have lost over 60% of their games: Donald Sterling and Jerry Reinsdorf.
No way
VDN would be playing Aaron Gray over him. I know it.

im actually gonna agree with that
we would get blair and he would never get playing time, he would never put up great numbers, and we would be talking about how we wasted that pick and he was red flagged but the bulls just dont pay attention and know nothing about basketball….somehow someway, drafting blair wouldve done nothing for us…
On Behalf of Sue, Wjb, majoyenrac, Bullshooter and all the other Hinrich fans...Ill keep the Hinrich Hope coming...There will be light!
not to play devil's advocate
but if we got blair…he would have been a perfect trade bait this year
True Story: John Salmons sucks so bad, Tiger Woods wants to meet him
What's wrong with getting a few good years out of an early second round pick.
Metal sharpens metal.
And this guy right here understands and knows what leadership is all about: The coach, the hall of famer......... Dick Butka! George Ryan
The Bulls shrink like a dick in cold water.
there's nothing wrong with that.
I can see why no one took him in the first round, that’s all.
"Oh, y ahora ¿quién podrá defenderme?" "¡Yo!"
semi-agree
I think the stats are impressive enough to warrant a fan shot, since he’s a rookie and a 2nd rounder at that.
But you are right, there isn’t much point in complaining about the draft. There are 30 teams in the draft and there will almost always be a team that gets lucky (or drafts well) and gets a player that’s much better than they should be based on their draft position. So relative to your player, they look better.
I hate Taj, but he’s played very well for his slot. Blair might be better, but that’s kind of analogous to complaining about receiving a car for Christmas because it wasn’t a ferrari (that’s probably a poor metaphor, but eh).
Most importantly though the fanshot doesn’t complain about drafting Johnson or Gibson, it just notes that Blair played a monster game, so you might be misinterpreting Johnny Thread Kerr’s post. You’re going to keep hearing about the play of Evans, Jennings, and Blair because they are producing at a very high rate.
It might be good if we didn’t complain as much, but our team isn’t good, so it’s hard to be happy. I’ll quote YFBB, quoting Mike Prada:
And you know what [a ~.500 season] means. Angry, bitter Bulls fans bitching (correctly, I might add) about their dysfunctional organization, their braindead coach, their overpaid swingman, their chucking shooting guard and their cerebral backup point guard whom the organization treats like a son. Can’t wait!
I think if Johnson ends up sucking next year, you’ll add poor drafting to the above quote. We shouldn’t have drafted Gordon (or probably Thomas) in the end because the organization doesn’t know how to build a team and let Gordon go for nothing (Thomas probably as well)

I'm most definitely not telling anyone what they can or can't post
people can do whatever they want. I was just saying it’s getting pretty tiresome, for me at least. You’d think we were the Pistons and we took Darko instead of Bosh, Wade or Melo the way this guy gets talked up around here. I really didn’t mean for my post to sound inflammatory towards Johnny Thread Kerr if that’s how it came out, I was more directing it at the constant Blair stuff which just feels stale.

jinx.
1. Cut a hole in a box
2. Put your Kirk in that box
3. Make some team open that box
No, really. Kirk needs to GTFO. Trade his ass, GarPaxDorf.

Kevin Arnovitz breaks down Blair's big game:

Reminder: Many of us here knew this guy would be this good, but the Bulls and other teams passed on him. Why do these guys still have jobs? Honestly.
