Around SBN: Carmelo Anthony, Amar'e Stoudemire Vow To Fit In With Lin

The collective bargaining agreement with the referees expired last week, and it looks like the league is getting ready to hire scab refs. Remember, these are the guys who weren't good enough to get hired by the NBA in the first place.

And a travel.

The positive is, the scabs will be working for permanent positions

while most of the NBA refs act like they have some sort of birth right to hold the position. just hope the scabs call the game by the rule book and not trying to intimidate the NBA refs

No Joey Crawford?

I like that!

I have seen a QB and it was good.

So, no Bavetta, Crawford, Salvatore, or disgrace to the female gender Violet Palmer?

That’s actually kind of intriguing.

I'd actually prefer a full purge every 5 years?

just some way for these guys not to become the players buddies. Maybe wear masks and/or be cyborgs.

But a lot of the scabs will be college refs

The college refs are even worse than the NBA refs.

If the SBNation bloggers were real men(or women)

They’d volunteer for a couple of games. Matt could call flagrant fouls on Hinrich while he’s on the bench, and force the scorekeeper to give Gordon 22 points.

why not just volunteer to become a crooked scorekeeper?

I apparently wouldn’t be the first.

NBA Observer! He sees the fouls before the refs do!

I can hardly wait to have any of the 3 (Stern) stooges replaced by new blood.

Since the Bulls have no superstars, I look forward to having a bunch of novices calling the games before they master the Stern Rules at their indoctrination briefings ……(always favor the dude who brings in the fans unless its early or late in the game and has no bearing on the outcome). This scenario should bring the Bulls a few more victories until the purges are completed of those who don’t follow the party line.

They may actually get a few flagrant fouls called in their favor while getting mugged by the teams on King David’s Preferred List. Maybe I’m being too harsh so I am open to be proven wrong by counter arguments that point out what a great honor it is to watch the current crop (or is it crap?) of NBA refs work their magic with such a high degree of competence. (i.e. the politically correct megastars like Violet Palmer and our speedy senior citizen with a case of sometimers disease, Dick Bavetta or the vindictive bald headed clown with anger management problems, Joey Crawford),

If they have to depart to get real jobs, I will shed no tears because they ruined many nights for me with bad calls (of course, only since Jordan retired),

If you can't answer a man's arguments, all is not lost. You can still call him vile names.

This isn't a good thing, it just means we don't know who the bad refs are at this point

Stern and his cronies are still going to issue the directives on how to call the game, which is the problem in the 1st place.
