Around SBN: Knicks Beat Lakers With Familiar Strategy

[Here's some video of Luol as well -ed.]

"The 24-year-old, who has been sidelined with a stress fracture to his right leg since February, said his rehabilitation has gone well and everything is on track for a return to action."

Better than bad news.

He said his favorite was .. Grant Hill ..

because he watched him “play” or like most all of us “not watch Hill play that often and collect a big pay check”

So there you have it. Grant Hill also a Dukie is Luol’s role model in every detail, even in regards to the injury time-off while in a large contract.

Is Luol serious or is he a comedian or in a completely different world?

I heard nothing in regards into I’m doing strength training to strengthen my weak ankles and wrist, and I’m running getting plenty of vitamin D to help out with my boney fragile legs.

This guy sounds like he is in no way hungry!

Only desiring safety living in recluse with his buddies in London.
Dude you are being paid to be a part of another brotherhood of NBA
potential all-stars why does it always sound like you’re always on vacation!

He said nothing about team ball, leadership, captain motivation or desiring his Bulls Team to take
the next step! Except everything was all about “me”.

It doesn’t take a genius to read this fellow! He’s just a good chap that probably will never
carry a “bloody” firearm into a bar and get caught!

“The beauty of it is that I have another season to go out there and prove myself and love the game I play” .. until I get hurt again like every other season.

Why be so hard on the dude ...

Cause he’s on 7×24 vacation for the next ten years …

Question: What your favorite food.. chinese, sudanase, etc,etc but my favorite is tasting a championship
for the city of chicago

Question: It’s easy to say MJ, put I’m a student of the game (like Lebron) and I’m amazed at the
value Pippen provided during those Bulls championship years. Or I’m talking with guys like Bruce Bowen,
Andre Miller, and Tayshaun Prince and their training programs which allowed them to play so many games
without injury.

Question: I love London, but heck Chicago is one of the greatest cities in the world. And the fans, I’m
looking forward to winning a championship with the Chicago Bulls and playing with D.Rose

Actually no offense to Luol, he didn't alone overrated himself into a large contract and hold a gun to the Bulls.

It is exclusively another sharp pin into the chest for John Paxson. To go along with excessively paying Tyson Chandler, Ben Wallace, Kurt and Deng. Not so much overpaying Kirk.

You talking to yourself?

Things could be worse. We could have kept Boylan.

You're right!

I don’t really want to knock Kirk and/or Deng. They are ok players.
It’s frustration.
It’s getting more difficult to directly
vent against John Paxson (“the real problem with the organization”).
Because Reinsdorf has built a shield(Gar) and wall of protection around
his financial focused puppetier.

I'll believe it when I see it

and by “it” I mean an 80 game season at about 18 ppg, 6 rpg and 3.5 apg. A steal or two would be nice also.

To Deng’s credit, he’s always been an above average rebounder for a SF. He has averaged around 7.5-8 generally. And I think he can do at least between 18-20 points a game. If he stays injury-free, he is a borderline All-star SF…note I said borderline….he’s not a scrub folks.

I don't think it's fair.

to expect a guy coming off an injury like Deng to not only have a great year but to have a year BETTER than his previous best year ever. It might be what we need out of Deng, but the chances of him doing it are extremely slim. It wouldn’t have even been a sure thing even if he was coming off of a healthy year.

If he can manage not to miss a lot of games, stay healthy, and hold down the SF spot with reasonable numbers (16pt average maybe) and with the rebounding boost we need I’d call it a successful year. If he was coming off of a healthy year my expectations would be higher, but realistically Deng has some obstacles to get around still. He will still be competing for the ball with Rose and Salmons. He might have endurance problems from not doing anything for so long (remember how thrown off Noah was), and there is still his leg and back that can flair up at any time. I just don’t see him jumping back into the saddle so easily with his injury problems and the personal changes we’ve had. He’ll have to be worked back into the system even if he does start.

Everything I post is speculation. I have no insider information nor ideas deemed concrete enough by those who are self-elected to regulate post content.
